Scam!
Let me start, we ordered Andean trout and pizza machupicchu. They brought grilled salmon and when I asked why they brought salmon they said that’s a trout from the river here, and it’s red because of the river. Coming from a country where fish, either freshwater or sea, are one of the main food, I definitely know difference between those, on top of that filet of salmon cannot look like trout even in the dreams. After couple of sentences she kept replaying that’s salmon even tho I lied i’m allergic to it, pretty disgusting. Pizza: pizza is pretty small and that’s not problem at all if it was fresh, but it was frozen pizza, when you lift it up you can still see lines from under, like in a store one.
Not saying not to try restaurant but don’t be stupid especially if you speak spanish, they are scamming you A LOT! Especially cuz I saw the same dishes in reviews and people got scammed. (Was checking after the dinner).
Not sure what to say about waitress, she is either stupid or disgusting for tricking people like that.
All of that would be fine if the restaurant is cheap, but it’s one of the expensive ones...

We came here for diner around 7 pm we ordered 2 specials Chaufa, lomo saltado, and an empanada and Machu Picchu pizza. Everything came out wrong or cold except the pizza. Empanada was for my daughter it was cold on the inside so I kindly asked the server to warm it so he did the soup that came with the daily special was salty but okay so I just added lime. Then the main entrees my wife wanted Chaufa no ham it came with ham, my lomo was cold and rice was cold and not cooked so I asked to change my order they said the kitchen was closed at 745pm. They tried to fix my wife’s still came out with ham so we just returned the food didn’t eat and my daughter didn’t even finish the empanada. My niece ate her pizza that’s about it. They comped our food except the soup but the server tried to charge me full price to a small soup. Just all around bad experience. I would not...
Read moreMesa 7 is right across the pedestrian bridge from the train station. It's where our guide for our soon after Machu Picchu tour recommended we eat lunch. I was very appreciative of the recommendation because my girlfriend and I both loved this place. In fact, she eats fish 90 percent of the time for her protein and will never forget this place because she said it was the best Trout she has ever had. Everything else was good or great, but that is high praise from her. I had the alpaca, and it was delicious. They also start you off with some chips and corn.
The staff was attentive and so nice. It was a satisfying way to start one of the most memorable tours of our life. Hope you...
