Their beef tapa, which is flaked and sweetish, is best drizzled with chili oil to bring out its true character. The accompnying fried egg is oily. Good thing, the garlic rice is not fried but topped only with toasted garlic to distinguish it from plain rice.
The sizzling litid is not the soft cartilage that I expected but the tendon and ligament of the cow. Because it is served on a sizzling plate, the dish tend to dry up and the meat cling to the bottom of the hot plate. Scrape to get the full flavor and the full value of your money.
Their parking can accomodate only two cars at a time. The front lots of the houses nearby are littered with signs that warn: "No Parking". Heed the warning even if you are hungry. If really hungry, park at the Mini Stop across, buy something, and surreptitiously cross the street for your tapa fix.
They serve soup which is piping hot, free, and as expected, flavorless. Nevertheless, eat the soup to melt the oil in your mouth.
Oras Pares is named as such not because it is open 24 hours, but after the town of Oras, Eastern Samar where the love-struck owners hail. Their story, which is written on the wall, is a good read (an alternative to reading FB news feed) while waiting...
Read moreCheck this place out if you are looking for budget-friendly but also flavorful and tasty meals. They are open 24 hours which is very convenient if you are craving for pares or silog meals even during the wee hours of the night.
Highly recommend their silog meals and any of their mami which are bestsellers and with their serving size, all food items are indeed worth every penny. Their meals also come with their soup of the day and unlimited rice. Pair your Tapsilog with their delicious Tokwa't Baboy and enjoy a very satisfying meal. Will try their Sisig and Siomai on the next visit.

Good prices for great food especially their tapa, tocino and bangsilog.....wow....
Their greatest secret / weapon is their chili oil. Fantastic. Can't get enough off.
Kudos to the crew of Oras Pares.
Parking can be a bit of a hassle.
Also, the waiting time is quite long especially during peak hours. Don't wait till you are very hungry before heading there as there is a substantial waiting period before your food arrives.
Enjoy guys .........
You can thank me...
