Amore Resto Grill — Restaurant in Bacolod

The food is undeniably a 10/10—absolutely delicious, especially the beefsteak. However, the service left much to be desired. The staff were untrained and unprofessional.

We placed our order, only to have the server return 40 minutes later to inform us that the Tuna Belly Sinigang was unavailable. Unfortunately, the kitchen had not begun preparing the rest of our order because the message wasn’t relayed to us promptly. They only started cooking everything after notifying us about the unavailable item, leaving us waiting and extremely hungry. Despite the long wait, we remained calm, understanding the large number of customers.

After another 30 minutes, the food started arriving—but only one dish at a time. First came the sinigang, followed by another 15-minute wait for the chopsuey and rice. Another 20 minutes passed before the beefsteak and sizzling bangus were served. By then, we were starving, but the experience took a turn for the worse.

They offered unlimited rice, but when we requested extra, it took another 20 minutes for it to arrive because they had only started cooking the rice again. By the time the rice was served, most of the food had already gone cold, including the sinigang.

This experience highlights how poor quality service can ruin the potential of exceptional food. The staff did not provide updates on our order and simply responded with, “Ara na, ma’am/sir,” yet we kept waiting another 15-30 minutes for every dish. It’s disappointing that such incredible food was overshadowed by the lack of training and...

We were meant to head to Gina's Seafood, which was right after this resto grill, but it was really busy at the time.

Then we decided on Amore Resto Grill because it is not too busy, although they do have some customers inside, including large parties.

It’s our first time to eat and we love it here because of the resto's creativity, such as the plants that surround you nice lightning.

There is also an electric fan offered if you wish to sit outside, and there is an air-conditioned resto if you prefer a cooler vibe.

The meal is great and fresh, and they cook it quickly. 👏

We also appreciate their staff since they are accommodating and have a smile on their face, which is the first time we've seen here in Bacolod which is they are happy to serve you and proud of their work.

I salute the folks that work there👏 stay smiling, and you will receive additional awards or tips from your next customer. ☺️😉
