We are visiting Cebu and this has to be the Worst dining experience - no star or negative star is not an option.
Seating: we wanted Al fresco, got seated pretty quickly - went bad from here on. We were seated on outskirts area with dim lighting, so dark that we had to use our iPhone light to read menu!
Ordering: we were simple I thought, ordered mango salad, chicken Parmesan special, shrimp and zucchini pesto pasta, plus 2 San Miguel beer. Waiter came back with 2 beers and waters.
SALAD SAGA: 10 minutes later, he came back to notify us that mango salad was not available, he recommended apple, cashew, cranberry salad which we said ok. Brought our entrees, no salad. 5 min or so later, came to tell us they ran out of cashews, can he still bring us the salad? We told him to cancel the salad order and he looked at us like we were being picky, huh? 😵💫
Entrees: about 20 min. After ordering, pesto pasta came but with like 1 shrimp, 5 mini pieces of zucchini, and lots of penne. Pesto was far from authentic, like where is the olive oil and basil 👀. 10 min or so later, waiter came back to bring chicken entree… partner said it was decent - 1 good thing, I guess.
Service: needless to say, could it get worst, it did! I noticed server was looking at phone, and we had been done for a bit, so I walked over to ask for our check/bill. He nodded ok… 15 min or so later, no bill. We ask again, finally got it.

Read moreYou should take a time to read this (hope the owner also does). We went to have dinner for valentines day. The food was really good but i never had such a bad attention in my hole life (and i saw it happened in the tables around us). At first, they brought us 1 main dish forgetting that we ordered a starter. We did not accept that so we waited. All the time were coming waiters with things we did not order and saw them with our things wondering by the resto. Right after the starter was delivered arrived only 1 main plate, while the other had to wait for 5 to 10 minutes and the same plate that had come at first was delivered extremely cold. We complained and had to wait for 30 minutes. By the way they offered cold water that was never delivered. When the plate finally came, the waiter broke my glass in the middle of the table throwing liquid and pieces of glass all over. He did not come to clean it up, neither offered a new beer. We complained again and after 15 minutes someone came to clean it. We ordered a dessert and waited for 30 minutes also. So, tasty food but unacceptable attention. In the table next to us it was really a mess as some were eating before bringing even the drinks and forgot some orders, so some had finished eating while others had not even started. Of course no discount or any real...

My visit to Brique started with a chat with the waitress, who had no clue what the chef’s specialty really is. This left me with limited options, so I decided to go for the pasta carbonara and a fresh orange juice.
The waitress informed me that the place was very busy and that the pasta would take 15-20 minutes. With not much to do, I waited and observed the scene. Despite having no more than 20-30 customers and 7-8 waitresses, the staff seemed very stressed.
Orange Juice: The orange juice didn’t seem to be genuinely fresh. It had a hint of freshness, but I could tell some synthetic orange juice was mixed in. I know the taste of fresh juice well because I drink it every single day from the Singapore orange vending machine.
Pasta Carbonara: The pasta tasted more like a microwave meal, lacking the authentic flavors one expects from a good carbonara. It was initially served without any chili or Parmesan cheese, and when I requested the cheese, the waitress seemed very confused. The added cheese did improve the dish slightly, but it still fell far short of true Italian pasta quality. Even Starbucks’ baked macaroni and cheese is much better by comparison. The chef’s execution needs significant...
