I stayed at Hotel Elizabeth Cebu recently and wanted to give a fair review of my experience from what so called a very good room
Pros:
• Location: The hotel is in a very good location, within walking distance to Ayala Mall. This can be a great advantage during rainy days, as you won’t need a taxi or Grab. • Staff: Some of the staff are really nice and helpful, which added a positive aspect to my stay.
Cons:
Bed: The mattress was extremely firm, to the point that I had to go for back massage treatments every day due to the back pain it caused. Key Card: The key card can get demagnetized twice a day, every day. It’s very frustrating, and changing the card doesn’t help since the entire system seems outdated. Facilities: There are very few facilities. The gym is small with broken equipment, and there’s no spa or massage service—you have to arrange that on your own. Hotel Breakfast: Don’t even bother with the hotel breakfast. It’s not worth it. Water System: The hot water gets turned off at night, so if you like to take a shower after 12 am, be prepared for cold water. It’s incredibly frustrating. Shower Pressure: The water pressure is very low, just a drizzle, making it hard to shower. Night Life: There’s no proper nightlife in the hotel, and it feels more like a local family hotel. Curtains: The curtains are not properly aligned, letting in lots of sunlight in the morning. If you’re a late sleeper, this can be very annoying. Hygiene: Sometimes the rooms don’t get cleaned properly, even with big tips.
WiFi , only if you are lucky
Don’t bother about room service , food not good
Overall: I had a very bad experience at Hotel Elizabeth Cebu. It was an expensive stay, but I made the best of it by visiting the nearby mall and coffee shops. The location is really good, but...
Read moreI'd rate this place a 3.5 star. I enjoyed my stay there, and it's not too far from Ayala. Like 5 minute walk, with a 7-11 on the way if you need it.
The basic room is quite spacious (though the cleaners one day just removed the extra twin bed next to my queen, which was weird and left a big space in the room). But the bathroom is a nice size, and the showers were spacious and had full temp control. The pillows were just a bit stiff and propped my head up a little too much. Also they are constructing a new building across the way. It doesn't bother me, though.
The breakfast buffet opens at 6, but they always seem to slow-roll out a few things. So it's not fully ready sometimes until like 15 minutes after that. It's also not very big. But it does have a few hot filipino selections, and always eggs and toast are available. There is also fruit, cereals and a few other desert things. It's pretty good and I had no complaints. The cafe food next door was ok.
The staff are very friendly and open doors and key-in the elevators for you. They go above and beyond. Speaking of which, you have to use a keycard for the elevator. Sometimes it doesn't register the first try and if the elevator is already going, I miss my floor.
The gym is pretty small. A treadmill, an eliptical and 2 bicycles. Also some free weights (with nowhere really to use them) and a universal machine. Directly outside the window is the smoking area, so I literally was doing lat pull-downs while the smokers would watch me 5 feet away. Kinda awkward for me... or them. It was awkward for someone, that's for sure.
But the price is right here. For what you get, none of those things really matter much. If it were more expensive, those might bother me just a little. But they didn't. This is a nice place for sure. I'd...
Read moreI want to express my disappointment with the way in which Hotel Elizabeth Cebu handled a recent issue I encountered during my stay at their establishment. While I appreciate the overall ambiance, rooms, and cleanliness of the hotel, the way in which their staff treated me when I addressed a lost item issue was completely unacceptable.||During my stay, I accidentally left my jacket in the closet of my room. When I returned for it, I was made to wait for hours and was given no clear answers or updates on the situation. I was repeatedly told that there was nothing in the closet, despite my certainty that the jacket was there when I left it. I understand that it was my mistake to leave the item behind, but it is the responsibility of their staff to handle lost and found items in a professional and efficient manner. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of urgency and empathy displayed by their staff during this incident. Losing personal belongings is a stressful experience, and I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously. I am concerned for the safety and security of future guests, as the mishandling of lost items could have serious consequences if it were a wallet or phone left behind.||Based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Hotel Elizabeth Cebu to others. While the overall appearance and cleanliness of the hotel were satisfactory, the lack of professionalism and urgency displayed by their staff was a major letdown. I implore the management to take immediate action to address the issue of lost and found items and to ensure that the staff are properly trained to handle such situations in a professional and efficient manner. I hope that my feedback will be taken seriously, and that future guests will not have to endure a...
