We had such a harrowing experience in this place. We went to Cebu to join a Spartan Race so we traveled from Quezon City on Friday afternoon and checked in the evening. That morning, we went to do our races. We were so tired and dirty so we went back to the hotel after the race to freshen up so we could have lunch then rest. While getting ready to leave for lunch, we asked housekeeping to bring up some toiletries. While housekeeping was in the room, the sink in one of the bathrooms JUST FELL while one of the guests I was with was inside the bathroom blow drying shoes that got wet from the rain. Yes, IT JUST FELL! The guest inside the bathroom was pretty shook - it was a traumatic experience. The housekeeping guys looked at the area and said there was rust everywhere. Housekeeping offered to move us to another room but we were so hungry as it was past 2 pm, we asked to resolve it after we had eaten some lunch and housekeeping was gracious enough to let us go without further hassle. Upon our return was the fun part. I decided to approach reception to make sure that housekeeping reported what happened to the bathroom sink. JAMES was there and said he was handling the whole incident. He told us he received a report that there was pressure put on the sink and that's why it fell. The incident has incurred around nine thousand pesos worth of damages. Ok now why would he be telling us this? He was implying that we will have to pay for damages. Outrageous! We had a long discussion and I asked to be shown these reports. The support beam under the sink was bent, the Engineer’s report was correct. There was pressure but I asked him what kind of pressure does it take to bend that beam? Could 1 person inside the bathroom apply that pressure. He knew 1 person cannot. So why did I just waste an hour of my VACATION time trying to defend us as if we were accused of damaging the room that almost DECAPITATED one of the guests?!? I had to think of all the solutions because JAMES keeps saying we cannot arrive at a resolution, that he was accountable for the incident and he is the highest point of escalation. He kept forcing me to decide if I would checkout early the next day since we really booked until Monday - really?! I reserved the room 1 month in advance and now he wants me to decide at that moment if I can find another hotel, pay that hotel, pack all our stuff and move out because he cannot move us to another room?! No question if everyone was ok, if any of our things got damaged, no apology about the incident. The room was dangerous, the internet was weak and James was not helpful and unprofessional. I wonder why an executive TEAM of a hotel will put him in charge. Is that the best Cebu can do? Suffice to say - I recommend that everyone - PLEASE STAY AWAY from this place.

was referred to this hotel by family because they had a good time. unfortunately, our experience was different. On their google amenities it said their breakfast is “free”. Via third party we booked, and there was no option for adding a meal plan because upon breakfast we weren’t included in the breakfast buffet and had to pay extra for our meals on top of a room that is (2400p), which is expensive for a room without breakfast. we told the front desk that we had no option for breakfast meals to add to the online booking and they said they couldn’t do anything about it because it was a third booking, on google they advertise free breakfast. Next up, the room we had, the AC was broken, so it never got cold, and when showering the ceiling is leaking and the drain wasn’t clean so the whole floor filled up with water. As upon saying this, they only told us “that they wrote it down” but no solution was ever offered. false advertisement and poor customer service. coming from Canada for a vacation, the standards here are not up to par. Will not come back. As per the food, a lot reviews saying the food is amazing, when it is just basic food and some canned hotdogs along with the basic filipino breakfast options, nothing special. EDIT TO MY REVIEW: Looking at more google reviews, the establishment has the same responses to old complaints saying they will “improve” and pretty much up to this date, nothing has ever changed. All past guests has said the same thing and the establishments response to these improvements are “have a golden day”

Arrived here at 2:17PM, scheduled check in is 2:00PM, however we were allowed to enter 3:24PM. The attendants did not even apologize! Check in - NOT SMOOTH, 1 HOUR AND 24 MINUTES late. They said they still preparing the room. Cleanliness - 0/10. We stayed for 3 nights and not even once they did clean our room. We requested but they DID NOT ACT ON IT. See photos of our garbage! IMAGINE 3 DAYS WITHOUT CLEANING AND GARBAGE DISPOSAL. 1 Toilet Roll is NOT ENOUGH for 3 NIGHTS STAY. Room - Big but not maintained properly. Complementary bottled water were not refilled. AIRCON cannot be adjusted, temperature is not enough in the Noon to afternoon. Staff - LOUSY AND DO NOT APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. They even smiled a little bit when I was complaining about the DELAYED CHECK IN. Reason why check out time is 11AM for them to PREPARE THE ROOM FOR THE NEXT GUESTS BUT NO, THEY DID NOT. I EVEN BOOKED THE ROOMS DAYS AHEAD OF ARRIVAL. TAKE THIS AS A SIGN NOT TO BOOK IN THIS HOTEL.

Had a very bad experience with this hotel. My best friend who we were travelling with recommened the hotel and he personally booked 3 rooms for all of us.

Upon arriving at the hotel. We were all expecting good rates and service but instead we where charged a higher rate per room than what they paid 4 days ago. They didnt have the courtesy to tell him over the phone that the rate will be higher. My best friend was very embarrassed that he recommended the hotel to us and upset at the hotel for not telling him.

To top that, they asked us to pay 1200 for our eldest. Tried to negotiate but no avail. We had no choice since we were tired from our travel so we just paid. Told the receptionist that im sure you are just doing your job and you dont have authority to negotiate.

We went up excited to put our heavy bags down and shower only to realize we were given an old room (i suspect). It was not the same as the room my friend got a few days ago. The bathroom was small, the toilet paper holder was broken. The shampoo and body wash dispenser was both empty. We were 4 in the room but they only gave us 2 small bottle of body wash to share. Also only 2 medium size towels for 4 people. No small towel as bathroom door mat. No small towel for the lavatory. The aircon was undersize. My friend woke up at 5am in the morning because it was already warm in their room. Their bathroom faucet also broke.

The very next day (today) was fathers day 2022. We went down for breakfast only to be stopped and told by the attendant of the dining area that our 2 kids are not allowed to eat. We need to pay for them as the room only came with 2 breakfast slots. The attendant took me to the receptionist. Initially i taught the attendant was mistaken but the receptionist started tell me that i needed to pay.

This is when i almost lost it. I told the receptionist that they should have been upfront last night that the extra 1200 they asked us to pay will not include breakfast. I was clearly upset but didnt make a scene.

I asked to speak to the manager. Receptionist tried to call someone then told me that the manager couldnt be contacted (if you can believe that, this was already 8am). My best friend also came down from their room worried that they too will be asked to pay extra for breakfast.

i requested to talk to someone in charge, told the receptionist that id like to request for refund for all the room issues and bad customer experience we were given. This when the receptionist "allowed" our kids to have breakfast (gave us complementary breakfast).

Golden prince hotel didnt give 2 fathers a good start on fathers day but we are fortunate we are with our family who made the rest of our day better.

We both hope other guest will have better...

I am sorry that i only left a 4 star rating but did not write a review of the Golden Prince Hotel and Suites but that star rating is a one star to a five star rating.

Now i am writing this because i passedby Archbishop Reyes Avenue after parking our vehicle near BPI Business Center with the thought that parking space of BDO Gorordo is limited and might encouter trouble in parking there so i decided to walk towards BDO Gorordo passing through the sidewalk of Arch. Reyes Avenue and cross towards the cor. of Acacia St. to my surprise when i was near Elizabeth Hotel the neighboring hotel of Golden Prince i heard plenty of notifications from my Cellphone i was surprise because i was not connected to a data or my wifi. But i continue my journey towards the bank i mentioned and as i passed through near the construction site along Gorordo near BDO i heard again notification tone from my cellphone so that i drewn it from my pocket and viewed the source of my connection to my great surprise i was connected to Golden Prince! Therefore Golden Prince has a strong wifi signal which is vital in our communication while staying either for business or for lissure.

Golden Prince Hotel and Suites is the hotel of choice of our government agencies because their room designs were engineered to cater barkadahan guests or can accommodate more guests in one room fitted for guests attending seminars conducted by government agencies. My overall comment regarding foods, room services, function rooms is 4 star.

But there is a but that i will not forget going to their basement parking there was a metal bar hanging in the entrance it left a big mark of the roofing of our vehicle Toyota Grandia that i was driving huhuhu.

In the parking area i met a japanese that sought my help for him to find a slot so i walk towards one level below but i did not find a slot there so i guide him to park in a small vehicle parking slot and made it it. I receive a thank you from him, and that was able to console me of the scratch that was inflicted by that metal bar hanging at the entrance. We went together upstsirs through elevator and talked and asked him who was the person he wanted to see he told me that the owner is his friend. I surmised that the owner must be a good man because the...
