Great value for a budget hotel. Great location. Easy access to transport too. Room was average. Customer service was ok. Our room only had one small roll of toilet paper. Next day, we asked the reception for another one as we ran out but it took them another day to give us another toilet paper. But our greatest disappointment was that day when there was a power outage/failure on 25 July 2023. We came back to the hotel from Ayala mall around 9pm. To our surprise, there were so many people at the main lobby. We thought they were new guests that just arrived. We went near the elevators but realized that the elevators were not working. There wasn’t any information given to us upon arrival by the security guard / reception or any signage about what is happening.Just heard from another guest that there was a power shortage. The hotel is using their generator at the moment but it’s not enough to make the elevators work. Thats why the guests were stocked at the main lobby. Apparently few guests were stocked inside the elevator as the elevator suddenly stops working while going up. Fortunately guests were already rescued out that time we arrived. Still no one is updating us on what’s going on. About an hour after, one of the front desks came and told us that we can use the elevators next door at Holiday Inn hotel. We have to use the elevator to get to the 17th floor and use the fire exit stairs to go down to the 10th floor where our hotel room was. We decided to take the chance together with the other guests. We were guided by two Hop Inn staff. When we reached the fire exit, I asked one of the staff to hold the fire door as I find it very hot inside the fire exit and there was no air circulating. As we reached down on the 10th floor of our hotel, I thought it will be cooler coming out of the fire exit but it was still very warm and there is no ventilation. We went inside our room but it was still very hot even though we turned on the air conditioner. I just couldn’t breathe properly. I told my husband and in laws to call for help as I felt Im gonna pass out but they couldn’t find any telephone number or emergency contact number inside the room. I cant remember where my brother in law found the staff who helped us in going back down the stairs to Holiday Inn Hotel swimming pool via the fire exit. After few minutes I gained back my breathing while lying down on one of the pool chairs. The duty manager came to see me. Someone checked my BP and let me rest for awhile. I decided we will check out that night instead as I find it not safe in the hotel. The hotel manager took my contact number and said he will contact me the following day to check how Im doing but I never heard from them. We were very disappointed of our experience and would never recommend to stay on this hotel if they wont change their safety policies. The hotel must put somewhere on the wall in each room a big signage of emergency contact number in cases of emergency as their rooms doesn’t have telephones thats for internal use only. If it happens that I really pass out, how would the reception know what happened to me and the elevators were not working at that time too. Their contact number on their website is not working as I tried to contact the hotel few times prior to the day we checked in, their contact number on the website is not working. I told the reception about this on the day we checked in. She said she will check on it. Also, the management failed to inform the guests what has been happening that night. It’s their responsibility to let us know what’s happening. If it wasn’t because of word of mouth from other guests, we wouldn’t have a clue. Also, I didn’t even have a follow up call from the manager which he promised. Very...

THIS IS A VERY NOISY HOTEL.

Holiday Inn, the hotel next door within the same building has live band playing on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights. I was in room 1211 and it disturbed my sleep early Saturday evening so I can have an early start. Imagine that, a hotel bar located in the 7th floor next door playing loud band music & karaoke. Because I had paid cash for my accomodations in HopInn hotel, the front desk refused to let me check out and give a refund for the remaining 2 days.

Please be warned, hotel guest tend to play their smart phone volume way too high inside the hotel rooms and you can hear it inside your room. Filipino families, locals tend to stay in this hotel so it's very, very noisy. Culturally, loud noise is acceptable in this country.

You cannot contact the hotel front desk using the viber app as instructed in the hotel room. I had a hotel guest 2 doors away playing his television very loud from 2am when it awakened me to 7am. I had to dress up, go down stairs to the front desk and the noise did not go away.

Stay away from room 1211. The air conditioning thermostat is not functioning correctly. The room temperature is a constant 17 degrees and does not respond to my thermostat setting to shut off cooling. I went to bed the first night and set the temp to 25 degrees, and it just kept blowing cold air until I woke up coughing and a sore throat the next day.

I spoke to the manager of the hotel, and I have never met anyone in charge of an operation who seem so clueless. I was also trying to give a compliment to one of her employees and she just brushed it off as "Ian just started." I tried to tell her, her employee Ian when told of the leak of raw sewage in the hotel bathroom back in July or August her reaction was "you mean he wiped the urine using our hotel towels?" She was dumb and dumber. Of course her employee did not use hotel towels. He was using the right cleaning supplies and rags from his cleaning cart.

I suggest you find alternate accommodations especially business travelers. I highly recommend Airbnb especially if the condominium is located in IT Park near or around Ayala Mall Central Bloc.

I've been sick for the last 5 days with sore throat and cough because of Hop Inn Room 1211 inoperative thermostat and have business to attend to...

Check-in was smooth. Car parking facility good. Rooms are of adequate size for 2 persons. Air Conditioner was good. I have already given the following feedback to your front desk staff on my checkout:| a. The TV/CABLE channel listing is completely wrong. b. The CR faucet was loose; I suggested that you have a facility/App that customers can use to report defects in the room. c. When I switch ON my bedside lamp, ALL the lights in the room light up. Waste of electricity, and also is a nuisance to my partner who may be sleeping. d. Many people have commented on Google and Facebook that the room lacks a kettle for making beverages, infant milk etc. Maybe you can provide a hot water outlet at each floor or at the lobby. (see the one at the 711 store next to the hotel lobby.). Ove rall a good hotel with adequate facilities for the price.

SECOND REIVEW ON STAY SEPT 16 TO SEP 19 2023

The car park needs EXIT signs/arrows, so that motorists know which way to turn to exit.

It is good that you provide a water dispenser on each floor; a. but:there was more than one occasion when the bottle was empty on my floor, the 14th floor. I had to go to the lobby and inform the staff to replace the water bottle. b. The hot water tap on the water dispenser poses a danger to children who may be scalded if they "play" with it.

You need more staff at the lobby desk, especially between 1130 a.m. and 3 p.m. during the busy check-in/check out period.

One email to your staff was not responded to.

5, I extended my stay by one day via online booking, but when I asked your lobby staff to verify my check-out date, I was told "Sep 18" instead of "Sep 19". Why was your system not updated? "Because you have not paid for the additional day.". The booking system should alert the staff to a person who has extended his booking and say "Pending Payment" and iremind the guest to pay the bill. I was under the impression that since I was already staying in the hotel, I could pay on check-out.

There must be some way for guests to contact the front desk, without having to go to the lobby and add to the crowding. Red Planet Hotel allows guests to contact the lobby staff and leave a message on their android...

Hop Inn Cebu City: Excellent Budget Stay in a Prime Location I recently stayed at Hop Inn Cebu City and was thoroughly impressed with this budget-friendly hotel. Here's why I highly recommend it: Location, Location, Location: The hotel's biggest advantage is its unbeatable location. Situated right in the Ayala area, it's within walking distance of Ayala Center Cebu, a major shopping mall. This puts you right in the heart of the action, with convenient access to restaurants, shops, and entertainment options. The surrounding area also has a cozy vibe, making it a pleasant place to explore. Friendly and Efficient Service: The staff at Hop Inn Cebu City were fantastic. They were friendly, helpful, and efficient, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience throughout my stay. Clean and Comfortable Room: My room at the hotel was well-maintained and clean. It provided a tidy and comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring Cebu. Ideal for Budget Travelers: If you're looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Cebu City, Hop Inn is an excellent option. The combination of its prime location, friendly service, and clean rooms makes it a great value for the price. Hop Inn Hotel Cebu City is a good budget hotel conveniently located inside the Cebu Business Park. Although we booked our room reservation online through AirAsia, we paid for the hotel over the counter when we checked in. Aside from cash, they also accept debit/credit cards as well as other cashless payment options. We got a room with 2 beds with a window view overlooking CBP and the Holiday Inn's pool. The room has a safe if you need to store some valuables. There is no fridge though. The TV had a plethora of channels to choose from. Free Wi-Fi was although there were times when the connection got a bit slow late at night. 2in1 liquid shampoo and soap is provided but no dental kit is provided so make sure to bring your own. The room doesn't have a phone so you'll need to step out and head to the elevator area to use the phone there or you could just chat with them through viber. They have a hot & cold water dispenser per floor near the elevators so you can refill your water bottles. You can pass by the lobby and request for a refill from the front desk in case the water dispenser on your floor is already empty. They don't have their own restaurant but you may opt to eat at Holiday Inn which is just beside Hop Inn if you want some hotel dinning. They do have a menu so that you can order in food if you don't want to go out of the hotel.

This is the usual no frills Hop Inn. Very clean rooms, very friendly service and great value for money. Don't come here if you expect an iron, tea and coffee making facilities or a ref (fridge) in the room. This is perfectly explained in the hotels description but it seems few can read 🤣 and then complain. You are 1 minute away from a pan de manilla bread shop, 4 minutes walk away from a 7-11 and 5 minutes walk away from the Ayala Centre Mall. There are only 2 lifts (I'm past caring translating to Americanese so look the word up if you don't know what a lift is) serving the 14 floors so there can be a short wait for a lift to arrive but we're talking 2 minutes out of 1,440 in a day. It's hardly a problem. So far, on night 1 of 3 we have had a comfortable and quiet night's sleep. Removing (and saving) the room bin bag and filling with iced water (<£0.50 for a 2kg bag of ice in 7-11) kept the beers nicely cold My only complaint (and it's minor) is that the only remote for the TV (a cebu cable remote) has few buttons dedicated to the TV so it has not been possible to switch the TV to HDMI input so we can watch a movie from the laptop. There is a button on the remote but it does not seem to have been programmed correctly for this Sharp TV.
