Howling Dogs Sports Grill — Restaurant in Cebu City

This place is not a real bar. It's the lowest quality possible, and they're not good people.

It's run by some dirty old white guys, and a bunch of 20 year old Filipina girls. Imagine the lowest kind of people, and you're not imagining low enough. None of them seem to know anything about alcohol or bars. The drinks selection is the bare minimum. If you ask for a simple common cocktail by name, they won't know what you're talking about. If you ask for an ale, they won't know what you're talking about. They've got San Miguel light, and shots of Jack, and a few other things.

The live music is okay sometimes.

The customers are mostly the most retarded old retired drunks that you've ever seen in your life. It's really a depressing scene.

Worst of all is probably that they scam you on the bill. Count your drinks, and do your own math, or be ready to be scammed when you pay your bill.

I was going to give it 4 stars, but they decided to scam me when I paid the bill. After paying, they only had “more” change then what I should receive back, so I was encouraged to buy another drink. I would either owe them smaller change, which I didn’t have, or have to buy another drink to even out the bill.

Update: I really appreciate the reply from the owner. In my defense, after spending a few weeks in the Philippines, I noticed it very common for the locals to try to squeeze a few extra dollars out of white travelers, and it gets very tiresome. That being said; I don't know the intentions of the staff, maybe it was not a scam, but it is still a frustrating situation and I want people to be aware of it. Howling dogs is a great bar Stumbled on it while out walking and It has never disappointed I’ve eaten there and highly recommend the burgers And the wings The service is great from the waitresses a great atmosphere with live sports on huge TV screens They will even cater for you if you want too watch a particular sport They have a live band on after 8pm most nights and give free shots to everyone It’s a great night out Nice outside covered seating area which is my fave hangout spot watch the world go by Great prices Great drinks drinks Great food If you’re in Cebu I highly recommend a visit Don’t forget to call in I think happy hour is all afternoon 😂
