Ned Nanay's Grill — Restaurant in Cebu City

We really used to love this place for it's affordable and tasty bbq. It's convenient for us to stop by coz its just along the way home. Unfortunately, there had been successive instances where the belly bbq we ordered is too tough almost unchewable...like the tendon or sinewy part of the pork. Which we don't think is the belly part at all 😳 Anyway so we just shrugged and simply not eat the tough part (which is sometimes half of the entire stick) so sayang gyud. Then recently they increased the price to 25php per stick and so naah it's just not worth the hassle. The small unnamed roadside bbq stand beside it is cheaper and tastes...

Food was good, cooked to our delight. Place is convenient for both commuters and those with cars. I am just not totally satisfied with the other services like readiness of the servers and the proactive mindset of the management. Weekends mean more traffic in the restaurant hence the management should already be on alert to whatever would be out of stock. It can be as simple as ice cubes, napkins, etc... which unfortunately was unforcasted to be finished quickly. I hope they get to consider these little things as important especially when during the time when we had our dinner when it was really humid... we would die for...

I'd say it's okay. I was actually craving for their soup menu (beef soup / balbacua) but unfortunately not available during the time. I was looking into other soup menu, their LARANG, it was affordable but for the market it was expensive (90php for small cut) in my opinion. I mean, for local, we can really find other LARANGAN which worth it than this (like there are same size but price is 50php to 70php). Overall, the dine was good maybe because also of the people I was with. But yeah, you can still try this local grill...
