I am very sad to write this review. As a vegan I support vegan restaurants as much as I can. However, this was the worst vegan restaurant I have been to so far (this is our 126th country). The location is in an ally and it feels like an ally basement. Regardless, we thought if the food is good who cares, right? The food took a very long time. After about 15 minutes one of the waitresses came over to say that there were no fries for the burger. We said ok - can they give us something else? No she said. Ok. After about 30 minutes we inquired about our drinks. Where were they? About 5 minutes later they finally arrived. The lemonades were actually blended drinks which were not tasty. We left one as it was hard to drink. Finally about 40 - 45 minutes after ordering the food came. It was cold. The deepfried mushrooms were a hard crust of something with no mushrooms inside of it. It was hard to eat without worrying that it would break our teeth. The burger was soggy with the same "mushroom" crusties inside. A strange combination of crusty and soggy. We immediately asked for the bill. It did not come. Rob asked again for the bill. It did not come. We got up and asked for the bill. Of course, we still paid for the fries (which they were out of). Regardless, I am very sad to write this as I want to be supportive. But this place had no vegan restaurant "feel" - the 2 bored ladies in the front were more interested in their phones then in us. The food was pretty inedible, so I have to warn others. I wish...
Read moreDespite what other people say, there are a few places to have good vegan food in Cebu, so do not feel like you need to come to this place. It is okay but the service was absolutely terrible. We arrived at 2.30pm to an empty restaurant and ordered three dishes. A few things were already missing from the menu (which is okay) but after we got our appetiser, we waited an entire hour for nothing else to arrive. We called over the waitress, who hadn't even come over to ask us how our food was, and asked her where our mains were. She said that we hadn't ordered anything else... which wasn't true. But she continued to deny that we had ordered more food. Then, after confirming we still wanted the food (because we were STARVING by that point), she told us we could no longer order what we wanted because it would take them too long to make. So we had to settle for something else. The mains took another 30 minutes. So it was 4pm by the time we were tucking into our mains. In an empty restaurant. It was hugely disappointing and while it is not her fault, because I am a type 1 diabetic, I had a severe hypoglycemic episode because of the delay in the food.
Having a restaurant in Cebu serving fully vegan food is such a treat. But basic service manners should be a given.
It would have been nice for them to offer us something like a drink or dessert on the house because of their mistake. Or at least apologise! But we left with none of the two and had to pay the full price (it's not very...
Read moreIn terms of food, it's really good; however, the service is genuinely not the best; it's very slow, and the staff aren't that attentive or welcoming. I say this as someone who feels uneasy asking questions, especially about how things work; they really don't handle those situations well.
They canât even explain properly how the ordering system works; when you try to ask or tell them something, they often respond with "What?" repeatedlyâsometimes up to four timesâbefore understanding you. They're not attentive to their customers; to the waiting time for food; or to the way they act around people. Honestly, the waiting time is the worst. It was just genuinely so slow and was taking so long (mind you this is for the drink, some places would even have it served first.) I already finished my food but my drink isn't in my table yet. I need to keep asking for it to the server.
They also tend to stare; not in a helpful way, but in a weird and judgmental manner, rather than something that feels reassuring or inviting.
Nevertheless, the service is poor; the...
