POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Do the staff/management understand the purpose of the Priority Lane? Why do they treat it as exclusive only for priority customers? If that is their rule, it implies that seniors, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) should also be banned from regular lanes!
Today (15 Nov 2023, around 7:30-8:00 pm), the cashier assigned to the Priority Lane was incredibly rude when asking regular customers to transfer to the regular lanes because she claimed to only cater to Priority Customers. It's worth noting that there were no Priority Customers at that time; she was vacant. Two people left, but the lady in front of me, who was about to pay, refused to leave because she had waited a long time for her turn only to be refused service. They had a heated argument before my turn, and I politely asked if she could consider me since I only had one item. ONE! Usually, cashiers would consider such requests, but this lady angrily refused, raising her voice at me and insisting I go through the long queues in the regular lanes just to pay for one item! My goodness, why is this lady allowed to be in Customer Service?
Then, another lady came, who seemed like the manager (I don't know for sure), and didn't know how to handle the situation. She didn't know how to pacify her cashier, who was having a meltdown. Fortunately, the bagger was sensitive and assisted me to another cashier who empathized with me. The last thing I saw from where I was standing was the cashier walking out! Very...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am always prepared for disappointment when I enter this store. Unfresh fruit, fruit and vegetables double-wrapped in plastic when they already have Mother Natureās protective cover, poor dairy and deli selection, unhygienic meat display, empty shelves of products that efficient stock controllers could easily foresee, prominence given to junk food at the expense of healthier natural high-fibre high-vitamin products. This morning I managed to find some essentials only to be faced by long queues at the overworked checkouts, with only half of them operating on a busy Saturday. A long hot tiring wait in poor air-conditioning. Some competition might be good.
A WEEK LATER. The long queues continue. The management seem not to care about the poor all-too-patient customers . On this Friday night, with all checkouts operating (albeit some at a very slow, measured pace), a momentary power-out occurred, whereupon the checkout employee at the end of my line decided to individually check each item of a large trolley full of groceries that had already gone through the till, then reversed and checked them all through again. Not the fault of the employee, who called for help at the time and got none. Clearly the fault of the management who didnāt react to the situation and who just didnāt care. Competition for this supermarket is...
