Revisited on Christmas December 25, 2023. Unfortunately we didn't have a reservation. So we waited an hour till everyone was seated. We were seated and the server turned the grill on and welcomed us. We than went to the buffet and to our surprise everything was empty. The prepared food was empty, soups were empty, sushi was empty and even the raw food was empty with a line waiting for them to be refilled. We immediately know at this point we wouldn't have a good experience, so we found our server explained that there was no food to eat and would be leaving. We exited the restaurant and went to another restaurant only to have the manager of Yakimix chase us into that restaurant and demand we pay for the buffet at Yakimix because we were seated at Yakimix even though we didn't eat. So now were in another restaurant with the Yakimix manager demanding payment for food we never ate.. SO AWKWARD... My wife explained several times we never even touched any food let alone ate food at Yakimix and were not going to pay just because we were seated. She also explained why we left the restaurant but the manager continued to demand payment for sitting in the restaurant. This back and forth between my wife and the manager went on for several minutes. Another manager from Yakimix showed up said something to the manager bickering with my wife, she apologized to my wife for the misunderstanding and than they both left. SUCH A STRANGE EXPERIENCE ! ! ! A restaurant demanding full payment because you sat at a table. Like who does that. Definitely will inspect the buffet to make sure there is food to eat before I sit in their chair again. Visited on June 1,2023 and was not disappointed. We were able to get a seat upon opening at 11:30 AM. The food selection was plentiful and appeared to be well prepared. They have lots of cooked dishes as well as raw meats, seafood and vegetables you can grill at your table. The beverage station had a Pepsi soda machine along with several other Philippine drinks to choose from.. They also had hot coffee and teas.. The desert station had Halo-Halo, ice cream with all the topping and crepes with four topping to choose from.. They had mouse cakes in a refrigerated case, with what appeared to be a couple choices there. The staff here are well trained. They were friendly, engaging and very kind. As soon as a plate was set aside, a staff member was removing it from the table. The Birthday dance and singing they do for guest was fun and energizing. Overall the experience was good and would definitely recommend trying Yakimix SM City Dasmarinas. We paid 699P or $10.70 per person which was...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I make weekly visit as a treat ourselves for the week and we have been regular customers ever since opening month. At p550 as the cost per entry during non peak days is a great value, but the quality is noticeably declining.
At the first few visits we were awed and excited that such a grand buffet would make it's way here so far so far from Manila. Even the employees at the neighboring restaurants can only look at the filled seats as they twiddle their thumbs due to lack of customers. Then we started noticing food items got removed and replaced by cheaper alternatives. For example the slices of lean beef were replaced with fatty slices.
Even with the slight change in the menu the place still deserved 4 or 5 stars. No where else in Dasmarinas will you be able experience eating at a quality buffet. The problem now lies in their strict portion control.
Premium items are now being portioned and will be removed from service soon after opening, never to be replenished. If you are too late on the first 3 replenishing of sliced beef you will not be able to partake in any, for they will remove the card label. If you are too slow on tempura you will have to wait 30 minutes for them to replenish the plate. With the tempura they will only serve about 12-15 pieces at a time, barely enough even for the people waiting in line awaiting replenishment.
Today a customer stood for 10 minutes waiting for a beef refill after being told by staff that the chef is cutting more pieces. Not only was there no refill they even removed the food labels. This was only after their 3rd beef replenishment.
I am hesitant to continue being a customer if the worthwhile food will be rationed out as if there is an...

A few years ago we rented this restau for formal birthday celebration of our pastor's wife. We are a Christian Baptist and dancing (inappropriately like seducing, kembot, pag-alog ng boobs, or just dancing immodestly) is not allowed for us our whole life. Lo and behold, group of your staffs came rushing in dancing with inappropriately loud secular music while dancing. Disgusting and awkward. I never came back and I also understand that you have disrespectful culture there, not even requesting for permission.
Today, i and my family came back to celebrate a birthday, I respectfully requested not to dance on our table. Pero anong ginawa niyo? Nakakabastos. Bar ba to? We did not ask for this. Our dinner, day, and celebration was perfectly ruined. Tsk. Never again.
Ps. Malamig at makunat ang fries. Maasim asim ang chicken, lesser variety of food choices than before. We came back just because of...
