Food is ok, but they don't know what "fresh brewed tea" really is. They have a sign on the wall that said fresh brewed tea but my tea was instant nestea. I asked the server why they have a sign when the tea is instant and she just gave me a blank stare.
5 year update : I posted the review about 5 years ago but I like to do updates on places I have reviewed to see if they have gotten better. Army Navy Burger is consistent..... Consistently bad, bad service, bad food, bad atmosphere. It's an overcast day in Davao and relatively cool compared to the last week, still the inside of the restaurant is very hot. Even the employees are sweating wiping their faces and continuing to handle the food. They had a freestanding AC unit and a split unit on the wall but apparently neither one works. I placed my order for curly fries, chicken sandwich, coke zero and bottle of water. The young lady told me it was a 10 minute wait. OK, no problem. My wife and daughter were eating at Annie pies and I was going to meet them there to eat together so that should be good. As I wait I can see they still have the freshly brewed tea sign up yet I see no tea brewing machine so I'm guessing it's still instant but don't really know since that was one mistake I didn't make this time. After I had been waiting close to 10 minutes, I see a guy in the back make a burger, wrap it up, sit down at a table and start to eat.... OK it's his lunch time. When he's finished I walk up to the window to see if my order is ready as the employees have had enough time to cook their lunch, sit down and eat, and return to work now. I see my fries already sitting there getting cold while the guy cooking my chicken walks across the kitchen with my cooked chicken in tongs and walk back and put it in the fryer again. Another 5 minutes and it's on the counter where the girl putting it in a bag can't seem to figure out how to put stuff in a bag. The girl that took my my order points out to her "it's this ticket". I had just looked at the fresh brewed tea sign before and read the sign that it said "digital kitchen", but digital here means they write it on paper, line them up and then try to guess the order. After I'm standing there a other 5 minutes with the girl trying to bag 2 items I finally put a stop to it when I tell her " I don't need tape on everything, I'm standing right here". So I get back to Annie pies to meet wife and daughter, they have already finished the food they ordered there, I open my over cooked chicken patty and was able to eat half of it. This will be my last review of army navy, if they can't improve over 5 years I'm sure they won't...
Read moreBeen the the army-navy burger at veranza mall in gensan more than 10 times. Obviously I'm an endorser (of the brand...I thought). I found two Army-Navy installations in Davao city and, at first, I was pleased to have my list of good places to eat expanded. That sense of being pleased has, over three visits to both davao army-navy restaurants, has been shattered. Their davao locations are close to bottom of the barrel. The location at SM lanang, in two visits over a week apart, had NO air conditioning. NONE. The installation is a glassed in affair...like other eateries in the locale. The glass-enclosed nature of the SM lanang location coupled with NO AC resulted in temps at my seat in excess of 40 degrees. While ordering, I thought the situation was temporary and might be helped by fans, but I was wrong. After waiting 5-10 minutes, for a chocolate milk shake to cool down, I was told they had no ice cream so no milkshakes were available. I left dripping in sweat.
About a week BEFORE the above fiasco I visited the OTHER army-navy eatery in another davao mall. Over 50% of menu items, like the "starving sailor" item were unavailable. They also did not have ice cream so no a la mode deserts or milkshakes were available.
Subsequent revisits of both the abovereferenced locations find that nothing has changed. I will continue to patronize the GenSan army-navy; it's top shelf fast food in a great atmosphere. I cannot say the same about either the lanang or abreeza locations in davao. I suggest avoid them until management...
Read moreI recently visited Army Navy and decided to try their California Burger, and it did not disappoint! The burger was a satisfying treat—juicy, flavorful, and packed with the perfect combination of crunchy lettuce, fresh tomatoes, and onions. The patty had a great char, and every bite felt indulgent yet balanced.
For dessert, I went with their Churros with caramel dip, and they were a delightful surprise. Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, they were reminiscent of the authentic churros you’d find on the streets of Barcelona. The texture and flavor were spot on, making them a perfect way to end the meal.
Army Navy offers a solid experience for those craving hearty meals and authentic flavors. Highly...
