Chef G has always been a favorite since their first branch, and I’m glad they now have one in the South. It’s much easier to satisfy cravings for their signature sisig here. The flavor is spot on, it’s savory, well-balanced, and very Filipino. I like that the meat isn’t just all fat but has a good mix of lean cuts, served sizzling hot on a plate. The rice serving is generous too.
The place itself is well-ventilated, and the staff are polite and attentive. While the menu is limited, each dish feels carefully made. Aside from their famous sisig, we tried the meatballs, which were rich and meaty, and the ube cheese turon, which made for a nice sweet ending after a heavy meal.
