Katsu Country — Restaurant in Davao City

We’ve been dining in at this place for 6 years. We’ve ordered a couple of times for delivery but the most recent one was the last straw.

All the tonkatsu fried food was oily and tasted like used/old oil. The croquettes still had raw bits inside. The shoyu ramen, we just decided to throw away. That's how terrible it was. The noodles were very thin and super soggy, like misua. The broth had no taste. My husband and son were gagging as they ate it. The tomato ramen broth had more taste but the fried tofu and shallots in the soup were very oily and the noodles were also super soggy. The chicken teriyaki was drowning in sauce.

Almost P3k worth of food and not one dish was decent tasting. Never ordering again.

The location was perfect. It has an ample parking space in front. When you come in, it has this simple but elegant look due to its furnitures and natural wood finish. It was a well thought-architecturally-designed restaurant. Found out that the brothers owner was an architect & and an interior/ furniture designer at the same time. Lucky owner. 😍 The food greatly improved. I mean the first time i went here, their katsu menu was already delicious but they improved on their selections & menu and added more options. Katsu Set Pork Tenderloin: 5/5⭐ - I absolutely loved this dish! Pork was tender and moist.🤤

Katsu Set Porkloin: 4/5⭐ - If you love a bit of fat maybe this is for you, a bit tough though

Katsu Set Beef Menchi: 4/5⭐ - taste like burger for me.

Udon: 2/5⭐ - you can skip this or just maybe we eat too often at marugame udon that's why our standards a bit too high. Hahaha!
