It had been a while since my last visit, and the first thing I noticed was how much the place has expanded. The extra space makes it feel more open and accommodating, yet it hasn’t lost that warm, welcoming vibe that drew me in the first time. It’s the kind of environment where you feel instantly at ease, whether you’re there to relax, catch up, or get a little work done.
The staff deserves a special mention. They’re just as hospitable as ever—friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring without being overbearing. That level of service really sets the tone and makes the whole experience enjoyable. It’s one of those little details that sticks with you and keeps you coming back.
What makes this spot stand out is its versatility. It’s perfect for round-table discussions where everyone can comfortably join in the conversation, but it’s equally great for family gatherings. The setup encourages interaction, laughter, and long conversations over good food.
Speaking of food, it’s consistently good. The menu offers solid choices, and the flavors never disappoint. It’s not overly fancy, but it’s satisfying in the best way—something that complements the atmosphere and makes you want to stay longer.
Overall, it’s a place worth recommending, whether for work, family, or just enjoying...

My girlfriend and I love Rekado. We first ate here last year and were amazed by their kare-kare and lechon kawali. Fast forward to this year, I brought my girlfriend and my brother to eat again. While the food was still delicious, the portions were significantly smaller—about 50% less. I posted a comparison of the kare-kare and lechon kawali dishes: on the left is April 2023, and on the right is May 2024. You can see that the portions have literally halved or more.
Additionally, this time, the kare-kare had only one piece with actual meat, and it was very little. When we visited, there was an event, and we asked the server how long it would take for the food. The estimate was 15-20 minutes, but the food arrived in 25-30 minutes. It would have been fine if our expectations had been set correctly from the start, so we could have ordered appetizers since we were already hungry.
Overall, the food is still delicious, but please improve the...
Read moreREKADO Filipino Comfort Cuisine is a modern Filipino fusion resto along the heart of the city's downtown. Location is good with ample parking. Resto staff are warm and accommodating. The place conveys a youthful, chill vibe with nice interiors and high ceilings. Not cramped but airy and spacious and there's still more tables and a function room at the 2nd floor. Food is not the usual you would see in a regular resto - they do it with a bit of twist which was awesome. Food is tasty & flavorful though quite pricey. You can have a bit of everything from appetizers to main dishes and yes, desserts! Leave some room for desserts and don't MISS the "langka turon" beautifully placed on a plate? Nope - it's on a native, old flat iron - so cool! Other dishes have nice presentation so that's a plus! We had eaten here for dinner, lunch and breakfast with family and friends. Everytime, we had a great time. Worth a visit...
