Mandarin Tea Garden — Restaurant in Davao City

I had one of the worst customer service experiences recently, particularly with a waitress named Venus. I simply asked to change my canned Coke from regular to Coke Zero right after ordering, but she refused, saying it was already “punched in” — which is a ridiculous excuse for not accommodating a basic request. When I politely insisted, she responded with even more attitude. Her behavior was rude and dismissive, and it completely ruined the dining experience for us.

Venus clearly lacks basic customer service skills and should not be in a customer-facing role. I hope management seriously looks into this, because regular customers deserve better...

Delicious Food 😋😋😋

Their pork & shrimp siomai, noodles, hot milk tea and pork chop rice are my favorite (I always crave these foods whenever I see a Mandarin restaurant hahaha).

Location is also accessible since just near Davao Doctors Hospital (very small parking lot though 😅)

Price is okay (btw, there is an additional 5% as service charge).

Staff are also attentive to their customers. Even the guard helps with the service (like handing out menu or bill).

PS: Food preparation is usually 20-30 minutes, but sometimes it takes more if there are a lot of customers; so better come when you are not that too hungry 😊😁 but their food is definitely...

I love Mandarin Tea Garden but ( I rarely say negative - unless its the truth) but I dont recommend this branch. First of all this is located at the corner of Malvar St. & Mt. Apo st. Nice area & good spot. But the problem with this is that it has 2 parking spaces in front of its restaurant but unfortunately its just for the owner, accdg to its security guard. They dont allow customers to park. How will you come in if they dont want any customer to park. I tried this 2 times before and tried it again this time but its just the same.
