Since the Google review page for Martin Asian Cuisine appears to be unavailable, I’m leaving it here under Bloom Cafe, as they share the same space and, I think (?), the same owner, based on the heading of the sales invoice.

I had high hopes for Martin Asian Cuisine after reading several positive reviews on other websites, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations.

The restaurant is tucked inside Bloom Cafe, which made it a bit tricky to locate at first. We visited on a Sunday lunchtime. The space was small but visually appealing, with natural light streaming in and a thoughtfully designed setup. There were only about five tables, all occupied at the time.

Their menu offered a good variety of Asian dishes, which we were excited to try. There was only one waitress serving all customers, and while she was polite and upfront about the expected 30-minute wait time, our food ended up taking over an hour to be served. We only ordered three items: Tom Yum Goong, Goi Cuon, and a chicken dish.

One thing to note: only sodas are available for drinks at Martin. If you want something else, you'll have to order separately at Bloom Cafe.

We also encountered a minor hygiene issue. One of our bowls had a dead insect stuck to it. While the staff quickly replaced it without question, it did affect our overall impression of the kitchen’s attention to cleanliness.

As for the food: The Goi Cuon had an overcooked wrapper and oily vegetables, lacking the light and fresh profile we were expecting.

The Tom Yum Goong had decent flavor, but it was served lukewarm and the shrimps were overcooked.

The chicken dish was okay; similar to inasal with soy sauce.

We paid ₱985 for the three dishes. They only accept cash or GCash, which might be inconvenient for some.

On the positive side, they were able to provide a sales invoice, which we appreciated. The invoice had Bloom Cafe’s name on the header, which further suggests the two businesses are connected.

Overall, while the space itself is aesthetically pleasing and has potential, the long waiting time, inconsistent food quality, limited drink service, and minor hygiene concerns made the experience underwhelming. I hope improvements are made in both kitchen operations and customer...

Had a nice experience at Bloom Coffee.

☕️ Their coffees are surprisingly good! Tbh, we didn’t have much expectations with their coffee as our main goal was to look for a place where we can work comfortably. Their Spanish Latte is great (we usually order spanish latte if it’s our first time in a cafe just to have a basis of comparison 😂). Latte (or was my order flat white? Forgot) is good too, not sweet and delivers a long-lasting aftertaste.

🍴 I love their breakfast quesadilla! It was savory and the eggs in it are fluffy.

💵 Accepts cash/card

🌐 They have fast wifi. After you order, they give you a voucher you can use to access their wifi (max 4hrs)

👨‍🍳 Our overall experience was good, but our order took almost 1 hour to arrive (and there wasn’t even much people in the cafe). Although, It didn’t create hassle for us because we were not hungry, nor in a hurry.

✍️Plenty of wall sockets. They have a functioning toilet. Has indoor and outdoor seating.

Would definitely go back when...

Hi y’all,

First let’s talk about the food. I enjoyed their breakfast very much. It was fresh and tastes good. The prices are affordable. What I very much liked is that anything on the board is not set in stone. For example the second time I ordered pancakes with rice instead of the chicken sausages though the menu card does not state it.

The service is nice, friendly and quick. They help you to find the right meal and drinks for you.

At last the atmosphere. Inside it’s cooled and clean. The same goes for the outside. The look is modern. It was undergoing some maintenance when I was there but I still could eat outside. Atmosphere only got 4 instead of 5 stars because it is right beside the main road. So it is very noisy. But apart from that I have nothing to complain.

I’d definitely recommend this restaurant.
