I don't like to write negative reviews but this was BAD...very BAD. This is by far the worst, I can't even call it, Mexican food I have ever eaten. I struggle to even call it food in general. I have had Mexican food in Mexico and all over the world. Yes it's never as good as in Mexico but this food doesn't even resemble Mexican food in the ingredients, taste or how it's prepared. We had a ham and cheese quesadillas, and I'm not joking, with three pieces of ham that were 1/4" square. Now if you think that's bad how about it also having no cheese at all! And condiments....what condiments! Just dry tortillas with the three pieces of ham. Then there's the burrito. Basically imagine taking a very bad version of a Filipino sisig and wrapping it in a tortilla. Again no cheese, no lettuce, no salsa, absolutely nothing Mexican. I can't even be bothered to discuss how bad the other items were. The food bordered on inedible. I get that a kitchen can have an off night but this food is from another dimension. This has nothing to do with an off night it has to do with not having a clue about the food you are making and what goes in it. This place should be absolutely ashamed of itself. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment at...
Read moreOh man, this place holds so many great memories from decades ago—just thinking about it brings a warm feeling to my heart. I started coming here back in high school, around the time Red Horse Beer was first introduced.
By the time I got to college, their menu had grown and introduced me to Mexican cuisine for the first time. I still remember tasting their Chimichanga—it was a game-changer! Their grilled pork chops also became a go-to favorite during those years.
What makes this place even more special is the unique atmosphere created by Babu, the owner and a Fine Arts professor at Silliman University. His artistic touch is all over the space, turning it into more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. It’s where I learned to appreciate a good drink, shared with good friends, all while listening to reggae on a lazy afternoon.
Even now, whenever I return to Dumaguete, I do my very best to drop by at least once. After all these years, they’ve never...

Most of the time, I just come here to drink, if we order food its usually the pulutan. The drinks taste great, especially the Sunrise, and theyre affordable.
Sometimes it can be hard to catch the servicepeoples attention, especially if youre sitting for away, so you have to go to the bar and order, but its ok. Also the place is right next to the street so it can get loud, both from other patrons and...
