My wife and I have had many beautiful meal's at the Cassblanca over the last 5 year's. But tonight 1st Aug 2021 was one of the best experience I've ever had in dining out in my intire life, totally blown away with the service too make us feel so special and how privileged we were to be there. Waiter staff absolutely brilliant could not fault even if we tried, any questions about the meal's were explained in total details with truly passion from the heart. The ultimate was the chef coming out to personal greet us with how did we enjoy our meal, he personal explained that he hoped everything was up to our expectations and if there was anything that he needed to change in order to make our experience even better. I'm 61 year's old and I can honestly tell you it was one of the most rewarding feeling's I've had in my intire life with the passion this man has shown me with he's career. I worked kitchen's when I was 17 year's old and only if I'd had the chance to work under he's supervision I'd dare say I'd be in the cooking game today. My true humble apologies that I did not ask your name, I'll make this promise tomorrow I will personally talk to the manager and ask your name and thank him personally for professionalism. Casablanca has always been our favorite restaurant for the awesome service and beautiful food but truly this has taken it to a new level. Most kind regards Anthony and Emily Jarrott Bayawan City Philippines 👌 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ oh there's only 5 star's at Max you...
Read moreIt's our first time to visit Dumaguete City & look up for resto to visit. One of those historical & must-go-to restaurants is CASABLANCA. So on first day, I and hubby went for dinner in Casablanca after hearing the late afternoon mass at the Dumaguete Cathedral. We called to reserve a table for two. We took a tricycle from the cathedral to reach Casablanca. Actually, the distance is good for a good walk along the Rizal Boulevard, but we decided not to coz we're quite hungry that time. It was an early Friday night and was surprised that it was not yet full. Luckily, we had a good spot by the window, looking out the boulevard (seaview). We're on a low carb diet & was happy they have good options. We ordered their bestseller seared tuna sashimi covered in black & white sesame seeds, meat platter and salad. For drinks, we had their detox pitcher of lemongrass, ginger & kalamansi concoction. We asked for a no sugar version but what was delivered is a sweetened one. Good thing the crew immediately replaced it with unsweetened one as soon as we told them the wrong drink was given to us. The crew was attentive & apologized for the mistake. The free bread with butter was served while waiting for our orders. The food is delicious and right portions for the price. We had a great time here for the ambiance and the food. Casablanca did not disappoint. Definitely coming...
Read moreThe food was quite good but the service was disjointed and poor. On a Saturday evening we sat inside to get the Air Conditioning, when most of the customers were outside. Maybe this led to our being forgotten for the entire meal. We tried their lemonade with lemongrass and ginger and it was excellent. I ordered a small soup but we were presented with a large bowl that had to get swapped. My order of snitzel came with the boiled potatoes, even though the waitress remembered me asking for fries instead. They took that plate away and returned with it saying I would not be charged for the boiled and the French fries would follow. By the time we were finished eating I asked them to pack my remaining snitzel to take home, and to cancel the fries as we're ready to go. The next day when I opened the at home package the fries were in with the remaining snitzel. The fries hit remembered just as we are leaving. The snitzel was very good but the whole process was just to disjointed. We paid the bill, which had been adjusted to the smaller soup, but I could not bring myself to leave a tip. The waitresses were different and so infrequent I would not recognize any of them if I went back. We enjoyed ourselves, and the food, but chasing staff and waiting, and getting wrong orders was not what we were looking for. I may go back one day, but I'll try a few other...
