It's our first time to visit Dumaguete City & look up for resto to visit. One of those historical & must-go-to restaurants is CASABLANCA. So on first day, I and hubby went for dinner in Casablanca after hearing the late afternoon mass at the Dumaguete Cathedral. We called to reserve a table for two. We took a tricycle from the cathedral to reach Casablanca. Actually, the distance is good for a good walk along the Rizal Boulevard, but we decided not to coz we're quite hungry that time. It was an early Friday night and was surprised that it was not yet full. Luckily, we had a good spot by the window, looking out the boulevard (seaview). We're on a low carb diet & was happy they have good options. We ordered their bestseller seared tuna sashimi covered in black & white sesame seeds, meat platter and salad. For drinks, we had their detox pitcher of lemongrass, ginger & kalamansi concoction. We asked for a no sugar version but what was delivered is a sweetened one. Good thing the crew immediately replaced it with unsweetened one as soon as we told them the wrong drink was given to us. The crew was attentive & apologized for the mistake. The free bread with butter was served while waiting for our orders. The food is delicious and right portions for the price. We had a great time here for the ambiance and the food. Casablanca did not disappoint. Definitely coming back! 👍👍♥️

First of all the good, service was quite good and so was the ambience and atmosphere. That's where the good stops though. For a restaurant which charges premium prices you do expect premium food. We had the cheeseburger, you would expect freshly formed quality beef patties for that price but not here. The beef patty was very low quality, probably bought frozen in bulk or simply just really low quality beef with who knows what else thrown in. It didn't had that distinctive beefy taste you are looking for, no nice char or tiny bit of color on the patty. It's as if they steamed the patty instead of grilling or pan frying it. Lacking salt and pepper, was very bland. The burger had no any sauce, nor ketchup, mustard or Mayo. Why? The home made chips were soggy and greasy, I do rather have some piping hot fries with my burger or at least the option to chose. All in all a very disappointing burger at a 295 PHP price tag. Now what bothered me the most and felt like robbery is, they offer free drinking water but we did ordered a small bottle of their own branded water which they charged us 85 PHP for! This is ridiculous. Also they charge for a regular Coke, Sprite etc 35 or 45 PHP but for a Coke Zero 70 PHP, why? Both cost the same everywhere. I will never eat at this overrated place again.

We went there today for lunch (Jan 25). We saw on the blackboard at the entrance that they served Chicken Stroganoff with spätzle as menu of the day so we were directly sold and we ordered 2 menus of the day. We started with a green salad what was very good and well served. The main dish came... well, it was absolutely NOT Stroganoff sauce! The sauce was very dark, liquid and not cheesy and NO taste of what a Stroganoff sauce should taste like! There was a ton of (kind of) mushrooms in it. Those put aside my plate, because I don't like mushrooms, there was not a lot left. We both eat what was supposed to be Stroganoff and then the dessert came. It was Kaiserschmarrn. My 'pancakes' were baken very hard and tiny while those of my spouse were soft, big and tasty. Strange if you order the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I don't say we didn't have a good lunch! But please 🙏 don't propose something to clients if it ain't the one you're serving! They could be very disappointed and we were for sure 😔.

Visiting Dumaguete City Philippines has been spectacular. Even that is an understatement. This restaurant experience has been eye opening because I never expected such a high level of technique and Cuisine in fine dining to exist. It's also been a long time since I've been back. Freshest ingredients such as the sesame ahi tuna on top of perfectly grilled local eggplant. Amazing combination. Then there was the lightly breaded schnitzel on top of herbed sautéed potatoes. Then the skin on crispy pork belly on top of the most velvety buttered potato puree, I can't call it mashed potatoes because it was so smooth. Sounds simple, but it was truly the best I've had in United States or other countries I've visited so far. German beer selection available is solid. Service is always so perfect in most places here in town. The hospitality and attention to detail is top notch. I forgot to mention the deep flavored, but light gravy that came with schnitzel. OMG!

It was a great experience, just missing the sourcrout, dinner served very well, we already get full with the complimentary snack. Our dinner at Casa Blanca in Dumaguete was a delightful experience! The ambiance was charming and romantic, perfect for a special occasion. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the evening. While the menu offered a good variety of options, we particularly enjoyed the I forgot the name it was the crispy pata sometimes with veggies . The flavors were well-balanced and the ingredients were clearly fresh and high-quality. The presentation of thcould have been more flavorful. Overall, we had a very pleasant dining experience at Casa Blanca. The positive aspects, such as the ambiance, service, and quality of most of the dishes, significantly outweighed the minor shortcomings. We would definitely recommend Casa Blanca to others and would happily return for another meal.

I went there at around 10:45 in the morning and it was perfect because it's not so busy during those hours. I got some English breakfast and man I'm telling you it was really really good. It has some beans on it, bacon, mushroom, 2 eggs, sausage, bread, and free coffee along with it. Then I got creme brulee for dessert which is so crunchy on the top and the right level of sweetness plus it melts in the mouth perfectly. The people working were so nice they're checking up on me from time to time asking if there's anything else they can do for me which I appreciate. If you go there in the morning I would highly advice to sit outside because eating with the beautiful sight of the sea is just way too relaxing. If you want somewhere quiet you can also eat inside. Oh they also have a smoking area in there if you are fun of smoking. Overall, the experience was 9.5 out of 10.
