Sintral — Restaurant in Dumaguete

Sintral provides a culinary experience with truly delightful food at prices that won’t break the bank. The menu boasts a range of enticing dishes, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavors that make dining there a treat for the taste buds.

However, it’s essential to address a notable aspect of the dining experience—the serving time. On several occasions, my visits to Sintral have been marked by prolonged waiting periods, ranging from 40 minutes to well over an hour on average. Regrettably, this isn’t an isolated occurrence, as my parents encountered a similar situation during their visit.

While the food consistently earns a solid 4-star rating for its quality and taste, the service aspect reveals a significant gap. The extended wait times have somewhat marred the overall dining experience, warranting a 2-star rating for this particular aspect.

Despite this drawback, there’s still potential for Sintral to elevate its overall rating by addressing the service delays. The culinary offerings remain a highlight, and I’m hopeful that improvements in service efficiency could transform Sintral into a more well-rounded dining destination. Ordered with 4 people breakfast as part of hotel booking. Place looked nice and not very busy. They all received order, but mine was forgotten, which happens. Although, after that we notified them, we were literally brushed off by the person who took the order? Then a man who brought Jollybees in for his kids after us got two plates of food and we were still waiting? Might have been a pre-ordered meal, but it said no outside food, and I was still waiting on my oats lol. About 40ish minutes and asking another different server later, I got my oatmeal which was water not even milk and some bananas on top. Everyone else had well finished, and tbh my dad makes water oats for breakfast in 1 minute everyday because he is late for work, so it was pretty sad to get that after 40 minutes. It was really bad food, I think the server was annoyed at something? Why take it out on me tho.

Really great place to enjoy a coffee and deswerts near the boulevard with a seaside feel. Came here with a friend. She had a coffee and I enjoyed the ube cheesecake. I havent had the opportunity to try all of the cheesecake, but my friend swears by the quality and honestly that ube boi was banging.
