Okay, YUM. With so many options to choose from in Siargao in terms of good eats, it can be hard to stand out. But Buonana really shines! I think it was my favorite dessert I had on the island. It’s delicious, relatively healthy and guilt-free, and vegan! I got the Nutty Gritty bowl because I’m a sucker for toppings and it did not disappoint. Such a nice balance of creamy and crunchy, and I also walked out with a jar of their homemade peanut butter—which is delicious, a bit sweet, and free of all the nasty stuff in the store bought stuff. The portions are quite small for the price of 210 PHP. I tried the banana and acai twist; the presentation was nice, but it felt more like a smoothie with a McFlurry texture rather than traditional ice cream. The service was satisfactory. Overall, it’s good, but there’s room for...
