Resturant — Restaurant in General Santos

This is a bit of a late review (we visited last January 21, 2025) but our family of 16 dined at Tambilawan Kamayan Halal Restaurant, and it was such a satisfying experience! Despite the size of our group, the food was served promptly, fresh, and flavorful.

We ordered quite a feast:

Buttered Inasal with Unlimited Rice – 16 orders

Tuna Sisig – 4 orders

Buko Halo-Halo – 13 orders

Garlic Shrimp – 3 orders

Chopsuey – 3 orders

Sinabawang Karagatan – 2 orders

Sotanghon – 3 orders

Plus assorted drinks

Every dish was cooked perfectly. The Buttered Inasal was juicy and seasoned just right, made even better with the unlimited rice. The Tuna Sisig was sizzling and flavorful, while the Garlic Shrimp and Chopsuey added a nice variety to the table. The Sinabawang Karagatan was comforting and rich, and the Sotanghon was light yet tasty.

For dessert, the Buko Halo-Halo (13 orders!) was a crowd favourite refreshing, creamy, and the perfect way to end the meal.

The service was excellent; the staff were attentive and very accommodating to our big group. The ambience is cosy and family-friendly, making it a great spot for gatherings.

Overall, we had a memorable dining experience here. Delicious food, generous servings, great value, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended for families and groups visiting General Santos...

Good food. Friendly staff. Reasonable price. Good service. Seating was not comfortable. It was a rainy day, so the place was a bit slippery and messy. February 20,2022 We still dine there, having the same feeling about the place. It is again a rainy day and wet/slippery. Unfortunately, some of the the items on the menu are missing. July 11,2022. We had dinner today and again a rainy day. Still love eating there. Was busy despite the rain. I love there bihon and Canton. Don't miss it.

Today November 14. Had dinner ( pancit canton and seafood soap with plain rice). Food was good as always . But was surprised by the price increase. One cup of plain rice charge was PHP 34 !!!. Where maximum charge for the same is 12-20 PHO elsewhere. I didn't like that. It was overcharged. It's just plain rice . So, my advice if you plan to eat there, bring your rice with you. I will...

The place was good. Food was nice it wasnt the best though. Then theres a problem of their customer expected waiting time, i was told 20mins for the grilled tuna belly so waited, lo and behold all our food was served after 45mins of waiting and thats a major problem, we could have eaten somewhere else if we were starving we could have died! lol, kidding aside, not being able to comply to customers expected waiting time is bad for business so ill give them 3 stars. For unli rice lovers this place is not for you, yes they have unlirice but they are very strict with "no sharing" the crew will really lay their eyes on you and wont stop at nothing til youre sorry for...
