After our coffee at J.CO, my friends and I headed to Mang Inasal to order their famous Chicken Inasal with unlimited rice. As expected, the place was really crowded—no surprise there. Mang Inasal is Mang Inasal—Filipino comfort food at its best, and they offer plenty of choices that Pinoys love.
What I didn’t like, though, was that they didn’t accept credit or debit card payments. It would’ve been helpful if they had a clear sign about it. I’m not sure if their machine was broken or if they just don’t accept cards at all, but that part was frustrating.
It also would’ve been better if the condiments included vinegar—unfortunately, they didn’t have any. For me, vinegar really enhances the flavor, especially when eating inasal.
The waiting time was okay—I didn’t really notice it because I was chatting with my friend. Once we got seated, our buzzer went off and we picked up our food. However, my friend’s togue lumpia was delayed—maybe they were still cooking it or heating the oil. LOL.
Big kudos to one of the staff, Grace, who was very proactive. She offered to bring us service water even though we only ordered à la carte. It’s rare to see staff that attentive, so she definitely stood out.
The pecho was delicious as always, but the experience would’ve been better if they had both a credit card payment option and vinegar at the condiments station. Overall, I’d rate it...
Read moreAll Mang Inasal that I've been to have always been crowded. Because of unlimited rice, that kind of makes it a good deal for most people who are hungry and eat a lot. But damn this place, they have some security who won't let you go n sit down unless you've a receipt, even if you're in the queue, you can't have your friends or family take a seat.
And it's really cramped up, there's barely any space to walk, barely 1 person can walk in the aisle. Someone else has to always get bumped into or move away.
Self service in such a cramped place is a really bad idea. Not sure why they had to cramp...
Read moreRecently while waiting for our takeaway order we saw you grilling staffs using the same chicken oil containers for basting raw as well as cooked chicken pieces. We also saw your staff holding many skewers of raw chicken pieces into the grilling room dripping with marinate and sauce over the cooked/grilled chicken pieces on the big aluminium tray. This will cause your customers to encounter food poisonings and diarrhoea. DOH will be notified...
