Figtree Hotel — Hotel in Iloilo City

In my recent trip to Iloilo to attend a conference at the Iloilo Convention Center (ICON), I booked at the Figtree Hotel, described as Iloilo’s Budget Hotel from November 12 to 15, 2024, where I had a pleasant experience that I would like to share.||This hotel is conveniently located in the Atria Park district, just a short distance from key attractions such as Plazuela de Iloilo and SM City Iloilo. Also, a few minute Grab ride to ICON. The hotel is approximately 17.5 km from Iloilo International Airport, making it easily accessible for travelers. Public transport options are nearby, with the SM City Iloilo bus stop within a 10-minute walk, which is quite convenient for exploring the city.||The hotel has rooms for single occupancy like what I booked to double occupancy with essential amenities. My room included a comfortable writing desk, air conditioning, (although at the time of my stay the aircon is dripping that you need to put a rug on the floor as absorbent, or else the room gets flooded with water. I already reported this to the in-charge) with free toiletries & 3-in-1 shower gel, shampoo & conditioner. The bathroom was well-appointed with both a bidet and a shower. Although the room I booked is somewhat compact, but it is well-designed and clean, providing a cozy atmosphere for rest after a day’s conference.||Figtree Hotel offers several amenities that enhanced my guest experience: free Wi-Fi in public areas, 24-hour reception and express check-in/out, room service and housekeeping. The hotel also provides a complimentary breakfast, which I found to be quite satisfactory during my stay. ||One of the highlights of my stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I was fetched and brought back to the airport by Loyd, the hotel staff. The staffs were accommodating and eager to assist with any requests or inquiries I had. This level of service made my stay even more enjoyable and added a personal touch to my experience at the hotel.||My overall experience at Figtree Hotel was very positive. The combination of its strategic location, comfortable accommodations, excellent service, and reasonable pricing makes it an ideal choice for both short-term and extended stays in Iloilo City. "Value for money" For a low budget hotel, it is beyond my expectation.

Lobby is small but comfy and clean. Lobby has infused water dispenser (10am onwards, maybe)

Staffs are kind and welcoming.

Location is good: Walking distance to SM, close to public transpo terminal, close to essential go-to stores.

Granted an early check-in!!! (2hrs early) Great for a quick rest before going out.

Working elevator, accessible stairs. Water dispenser near elevator each level.

The room we got is nice and clean. No dusty smell or bad odor. Door security is ok. Entering the room, there's hanger area and small lower cabinet for footwear. The CR is clean. Has bathroom tissue, dental kit, 3in1 shower gel (soap,shampoo,conditioner), working shower heater, and a very strong bidet 🤣 Bed and comforter is nice and comfy. Pillow is bulky but soft. Bed lamps and table lights are working. Has wall-attached table, chair, 1 pitcher and 2 glasses. Has working cableTV. Wifi is ok, few down times only. Has very cold window type AC.

Breakfast buffet: place, table and chair, food is nice!

Overall experience: 4.8/5 !! The only downside we experienced is the location of the AC which points directly to the bed. Damn, it's really cold even if we already adjusted the AC. 🥶 Considering that it is a budget-friendly hotel, it exceeds our expectation! Would love to stay again.

The Hotel is near Iloilo City, near a popular Mall.||From iloilo International Airport take a ride PHP 600 to 700 via shuttle service. There is also grab application for around comparable price plus booking charge, there will be waiting time and price difference depending on time of day and demand for ride.||This is a clean hotel with options of breakfast included. Facilities include WiFi, restaurant which is open from 6 AM to 10 PM.||The breakfast buffet includes, soup, rice, eggs, sausage, ham, veggie dish, bread, jam, butter, fruits, coffee and juice. The menu rotates and offering will be vary day to day.|I got also an in-house call reminder to check if I have availed of the buffet inclusive in my package.||Very accommodating staff. |Clean facilities and air-conditioned rooms with hot and cold bath.|Room rates start PHP 1700 for standard rooms.||The check in and check out procedure is very fast and efficient.||Housekeeping can be requested but they replace the bedding every 3 days.||If you go for quiet, accessible and value for money this is recommendable.||There are also nearby restaurants which serve local dishes.||Taxi and grab a ride is also available. Standby taxi are located just a parking slot away.||If in case you book ahead of time hotel shuttle can be arranged to have you picked up. Usually booking ahead will cost less...
