Festive Walk Mall — Local services in Iloilo City

New shopping mall constucted and furnished to a high standard (except for the comfort rooms, see below), there are plenty of shops and also 2 supermarkets.

There are quite a few restaurants in the mall but I would like to see at least 10 more to give a bigger choice to customers.

A few concerns; the comfort rooms are a disgrace, in particular the men's CR on the ground floor opposite Penshoppe. On my visit today as well as two days ago, 2 out of the 4 toilet cubicles are out of order with 'out of order' signs on the cubicle door, of the two available one is actually broken because the water flush is not working and the toilet bowl is full of you know what! And of the 6 hand-wash sinks, 2 are out of order. There is also a problem with loose fitting taps on the sinks, overflowing trash bins and damaged hinges, damaged locks and damaged doors in the cubicles. Don't they have any maintenance and cleaning staff available to repair and keep it clean??!! And the quality of the furnishings used in the CR is very poor.

The other problem is with management or rather lack of management of the car drop-off area at the main entrance. During my visit today I went to Starbucks and got a window seat looking out over the drop-off area. I noticed that there were 2 cars parked in the drop-off zone and they were parked there for at least an hour! By restricting access to the drop-off zone they caused a lot of congestion to other vehicles as well as inconvienience to other people.

The mall is ok, nice design and clean. It's small, nothing interesting inside but food store,... This is just convenient when you need something quick, like convenience store. The mall doesn't attract many customers though, even the practical and useful wilcon hardware had to close

But, recently, they implemented parking fees, 30php right away, no difference between cats and motorbike, whole cars take 6 bike slots. The problem is that nowhere it s indicated that parking fees applies on the zone.

In city proper, city hall only bill 10 for motorbikes and 20 for cars. Megaworld even impose parking fees on the slots of the tech buildings, employees must now pay to work.

So now I will go elsewhere. Megaworld seem desperate here, no mall in iloilo applies such fees.
