Just had a very DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE ever at Yakimix iloilo. We went for dinner at around 19:55 last night July 26, 2025. As soon as we entered, we were immediately assisted to our table, which is great since there were not much guest, however upon arrival at our table we were a bit surprised to see a couple of messy table set up laying on the couch/chair, which is a NO NO when it comes to sanitation. We tried to ignore it and proceeded to get our food. Next DISAPPOINTING part was the buffet, you can clearly see that some items were already empty or missing. At first we just make the most of what we got like the sweet and sour pork and braised beef and some meat for grilling, however when I ate the pineapple from the sweet & sour pork it tasted bad like it’s from a really old batch close to being spoiled, same goes with the potato and carrots from the braised beef, and then when we started to grill and dip the meat to a so called “SPECIAL SAUCE” another Disappointment occurred, it tasted like plain water. Maybe the refill for the “SPECIAL SAUCE” was not enough so they decided to improvise by adding water without realizing that they ended up creating a colored water. We don’t want to make a fuzz about it, so we used the cheese sauce instead. Then another DISAPPOINTING part came, the cashier approached our table to present our bill without us asking for it and it’s not even 30mins since we started our dinner. I find VERY Rude. The next DISAPPOINTING part was at around 9pm some crew members clearly started taking food directly from the buffet and what’s surprising is that they were eating in a guest table right in the middle of the restaurant. I find it very UNPROFESSIONAL to do it while the restaurant is still in operation. I understand that they also need to eat however they can obviously do it when the restaurant is already close and if they are really hungry at least look for a part of the restaurant which is already close and less visible to the guest. We used to be a fan of Yakimix but after what we experienced I don’t’ think we will ever be going back. So the bottom line is you pay an exact same price with those guest who dine earlier but you don’t get the same quality of food...

Went here at 5 PM on a Saturday for the dinner buffet, priced at ₱769 per person.
First impression The grill on our table was hella dirty. It didn’t look like it was cleaned properly, and that was the first thing I noticed. They just put wax paper on top, which felt like a lazy workaround.
Food Most of the food was good. Just make sure to taste a small portion first because there’s a no-leftover policy.
Sushi was a letdown. The rice mixture overpowered all the other ingredients, so you couldn’t really taste anything else.
Tried the steamed pork dumpling at the dumpling station, and it was honestly disgusting.
Ebi tempura was good, even if it was made with frozen shrimp.
Onion rings had the same coating as the tempura but had zero flavor unless you dipped them in sauce.
Main course had a lot of variety. Safe and tasty options were the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, fried chicken, lechon kawali, and lumpia shanghai.
Crepe station They offer mango and strawberry jam as fillings and drizzle the crepe with chocolate or caramel syrup. The serving is pretty big. It wasn’t for me though. I recommend asking for a plain crepe, then putting ice cream inside for a better dessert.
Ice cream station Only two flavors: mango and chocolate. Not bad, but the freezer looked really dirty and smelled like spoiled milk. Yakimix seriously needs to clean that.
Desserts They had black sambo, cheesecake squares, and mango squares. All were gelatin-based and had very little flavor.
Drink station This was the worst part. All the soft drinks were flat. The juices — blue lemonade, cucumber, lemon, and iced tea — didn’t taste good at all. I ended up sticking with cold water.
Samgyupsal station They didn’t refill the shrimp, so I only got three pieces. If you go, take advantage of the cheese dip at this station — it goes great with almost everything.
Yakimix, please do better. We like the place and some of the food, but the grill and ice cream station need to be cleaned, and the drinks seriously...
Read moreGood venue for the lunch or dinner buffets during the week. Food was always stocked up, with tons of options for carnivores, vegetarians and vegans. Drink selection was decent with your well-known sodas, fruit flavored water, smoothies, coffee etc. The foods/dishes to choose from included Western cuisine like pizza, fries, BBQ ribs but they did seem a bit untouched. There was primarily Asian cuisine like sushi, glass noodles, shanghai noodles, pork/beef adobo, fried rice egg rolls, sweet and sour, lemon chicken etc. All of which was great. Primary meat selections were duck breast, fair-sized prawns, pork loin, crab, and korean beef bulgogi. For the meats, you select whichever you want and fry them with the installed grill at your table. I believe when I went for the lunch special buffet on a weekday, it was around 700P per person. Good value if you can eat alot. Staff were great and very cheerful when reciting Birthday songs around the restuarant. Would...
