I took my wife to eat here about 4:30pm. The place was dark I thought at first they were closed. We sat down. My wife wasn't to thrilled with the chairs they had so we sat together at a booth. Ordered the pulled pork taco and the BMFB burger. I wanted to order a cherry coke for my wife since she never tried it. They didn't have it in fact all they had was coke vanilla and coke zero... Yuck... My wife said you have mountain dew the server said I'll look and they did have mountain dew. Not sure why they are out of most of the sodas advertised in the menu and they didn't even say not available until you order a soda. Weird is they have all the sodas displayed on the bar counter since they are out of most of the sodas. Never been to a sit down restaurant that didn't at least have regular coke. Makes no sense. I wanted a tequila sunrise but the bar wasn't open the server said not open until 5 I said ok tell the bartender at 5 I want a tequila sunrise. The food was excellent. The burger and the tacos was great. Though strange they only give you one jalapeno for each taco I understand jalapenos are expensive in the Philippines but the tacos aren't cheap. No biggie since the tacos where super tasty. It was 5:10 still no bartender. They have a bar with so much different alcohol but no bartender. Why have a bar if no bartender? Who knows. The bartender was late. They lost money on cocktails I was going to buy 2 or 3. Oh well. I been upset if the food was terrible but it wasn't I was mighty surprised we had 3 tacos. On Tuesday it's taco Tuesday there so you get an extra taco. Nice. Minus not having the sodas they advertised on the menu and no bartender at a bar they have pretty much any alcohol you'd want the place was good. Lot of meat in the burger. The smoked brisket on the burger was excellent and tender and the beef patty thick and the pulled pork in the taco was delicious. And this is coming from a man born in the USA in Southern California where I eat Mexican food and burgers a lot. Also interesting they put bbq sauce in the tacos which I love bbq sauce. My wife enjoyed the food as well and she is Filipino. Oh and the fries were awful but that isn't why I came here so it's fine as I didn't order fries anyway tiny amount come with the burger. And they only had 3 kind of hot sauce non where they good but one was better than the other 2. I read in a comment they had a lot of variety of hot sauce. If 3 is a lot of variety that person they comment must be nuts. Anyway good food nice bar just to look at as they must not sell hard alcohol. All in all nice place to eat only...
Read moreI was excited to come to this branch as I have been to the original one in Santa Fe, Bantayan once, which had the best Mexican Tex-Mex food I tried in the Philippines. Very disappointed by the food in Mactan.
We tried burritos, tacos, and quesadillas.
Food: Burritos: Smaller portion, different lower quality ingredients. The burrito was dry and lacked flavor. The overload of sauce tasted odd.
Tacos: The tacos were bland and lacked the fresh, vibrant taste I experienced in Bantayan.
Quesadillas: The quesadillas were greasy and the cheese did not taste as fresh.
Overall, the taste is not the same. It doesn't have that authentic Mexican flavor that the one in Bantayan had. I wished I had taken photos to show the difference.
Portions: The portions were smaller compared to the original branch.
Consistency: Food should not be different if it is the same company. It's been more than 6 months since I visited Santa Fe, so I don't know if the quality has dropped there too.
Ambience: The ambience is nice, providing a comfortable dining environment.
Service: The service was average; the staff were not particularly attentive or friendly.
Maybe it used to be good here but it feels like the owner that made it taste authentic Mexican is not there anymore.
It's a joke. I...
Read moreMy wife and I visited the Best Burrito Company this morning, and we were blown away! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like old friends. They were not only funny and friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable and sociable, making the entire experience a joy. The owner, Ryan, took the time to personally introduce himself and check in on us, which added a really personal touch to our visit.
Although we had ordered online before, this was our first time dining at the restaurant, and we were thrilled with the Tex-Mex food. It was even better than what we’d had previously, and Ryan explained that they had made some improvements since parting ways with a previous franchise. The difference was clear—the food was simply amazing!
We were also surprised to learn that they offer Chinese cuisine, which was just as delicious as the tacos. They went above and beyond to cater to our needs, even accommodating some of our more unusual requests with ease. We’re already looking forward to coming back, especially with the prospect of enjoying some live music in their fantastic atmosphere.
Best Burrito Company has it all—great food, a welcoming vibe, and a top-notch staff. We can’t wait for our next visit!...
