Somac Mactan Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Lapu-Lapu

My partner and I had an unfortunate experience of dining at Somac Korean restaurant last February 2024. I must say it was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we walked in, it was evident that the staff had a bias towards certain customers.

What struck me the most was the blatant favoritism towards Korean customers. It seemed like they received special treatment, while we were left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time. We're supposed to celebrate my partner's birthday so we decided to dine in at Somac since both of us love Korean foods (specially samgyup) and Somac was the only Korean resto open at 3AM but it turned out to be a disappointment :( . They have this promo of getting a complementary dish for birthday celebrants displayed in tarp. However, when we asked the staff that we'll avail of it since we dine in and it's my partner's birthday. They told us that they needed to get an approval from their manager before they give it. Staff decided to give us the complementary dish as advertised but evidently not in a sincere manner, the gesture says it all. In addition, we asked if we can have a service water after we ate. They gave us 1 pitcher of water and a glass but when the foreigner customer asked for it, they gave them 1 bottled mineral water each when we literally ordered the same food/dish. It's unacceptable to witness such discrimination in this day and age.

Overall, my experience at Somac Korean restaurant was one of frustration and disappointment. It's disheartening to see such discrimination still present in establishments, and I will not be returning nor recommending this...

Yesterday is our anniversary with my boyfriend and we were looking for a restaurant that was cheap and delicious and a peaceful place to eat until we arrive in maribago and someone gave us flyers so we went to their restaurant because we were interested in my boyfriend and when we arrived we were welcomed right away mis their staff with beautiful smile their staff then their restaurant is peaceful and this is the restaurant I'm looking for to celebrate my boyfriend and what they offer us is Couple Set A. 1500 and Couple. . . . . . I am a customer who should really look for good food before ordering review the restaurant page. if have a lot of good feed back on the restaurant page? Then their service is good. Then I looked at their best seller. while I was scrolling I saw the page on somac so I reviewed it when I saw a lot of good feedback and so many rate a 5 star after i review I decided to order from that restaurant then I like Becuase its free delivery I made sure to review their best sellers to see if they are really good.
