Max's RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Legazpi

Ordered Chicken Pancit Canton, Shanghai (Chicken) Lumpia, calamansi lemon juice and calamansi lemon shake.

Other than Lumpia, everything was not what I expected. Portions were small, yet the bill was P746.

It was a HOT Day, yet the AC didn't seem like it was on high. They had a few tables occupied. It was clean but I was expecting better than McDonald's. They did come out with glasses of water and refilled regularly.

Chicken Pancit was one chicken ball (thought it was a fish ball, I asked!) and Chicken Liver, talk about cheap!

My Calamansi Lemon Juice was more sour than Yellow Lemonade. And my wife's Calamansi Lemon Shake was half ICE.

They used small mid-size glasses, so for P109 to P139 per glass, it was a rip-off.

Drinks were served way after the food was served, begs the question, why wasn't it served while we waited 20 minutes for the entrees to be prepared?

For lunch, we were both still hungry and very unsatisfied. I opted to try Max's because next door McDonald's was busy right before noon. I tried Max's restaurant in Vancouver BC Canada last year with my Tita, and it was good, not too expensive either!

My wife is from the area, and she was very disappointed. Service was OK, but the servers didn't look that happy to work there. Wish there was a tip function when paying by debit card.

I wish I went to McDonald's, that's how bad it was and it made for a bad...

I purposely didn't eat at any Max's Restaurant for over a DECADE because of their BLAND and OVERPRICED menu.

However I gave them a benefit of a doubt thinking they changed over the years - they didn't.

The staff are fabulous.

The menu is simply overpriced and other lesser known restaurants are more impressive than Max's.

Their Seafood Kare-Kare is pathetic. My guest and I can literally count the minuscule amount of shrimp and fish bits (the same ones used in their Pancit dish). By the way, proper shrimp is cooked and serve WITHOUT the shell on.

The Halo-Halo is bland and unattractively served in the same glass as water is served in.

Never will I give Max's another chance not will I ever recommend them. Other reviewers have the same experience and apparently, the management of Max's think our reviews don't matter and still continue serving PATHETIC dishes at RIDICULOUS PRICES.

People go there expecting great food but Expensive Menu does not equate good food ... Max's will...

My expectations were high. So, when I ordered a takeaway, I imagined a whole fried chicken that smelled and tasted really good (like really good!). But when they gave me my order I was disappointed. I specifically ordered that the chicken be chopped and they were not.
