I was excited to try this restaurant after hearing great things and seeing its 4.4-star rating. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a massive disappointment.
We waited almost an hour just to get water, which we never received, despite ordering bottled water. We weren’t even given napkins during our entire visit. One of the waitresses Gemma, never came back to check on us or ask how our food was, focusing instead on other patrons.
The service was completely disorganized. We were moved to another table, and after waiting an additional 45 minutes for the check, we finally received one that only included a Sprite. When we asked for the final check we were still only charged for the Sprite. My cousin had to go to the register to inform them that the waitress wasn’t paying attention and had not billed us for the full meals and beverages we ordered.
When the food did arrive, it was completely bland and lacked flavor. By far, the Sprite and beer were the only things with any taste. To make matters worse, ALL of us became ill shortly after dining, experiencing severe vomiting and diarrhea for days. This raises serious concerns about the safety and quality of the food being served.
The lack of service, poor food quality, and resulting health issues made this one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. The overall lack of attention to patrons and ensuring they are enjoying their meals is unacceptable. It’s hard to believe this place calls itself a restaurant let alone has a 4.4-star rating it’s almost impossible to believe those reviews are genuine.
I STRONGLY discourage anyone from...
Read moreIt was a delightful dining experience at Gastro Publiko, where I indulged in an array of delectable dishes. The Tuna in Lemon Butter, Peri Peri Inasal Chicken, Signature Publiko Salad, Sisig Rice Bowl, and the refreshing Melon Shake were all on the menu for our feast.
The Peri Peri Inasal Chicken unquestionably stole the spotlight, showcasing a burst of flavors that lingered on the palate. While each dish held its own charm, the Peri Peri Inasal Chicken left an enduring impression.
The active and attentive staff added to the positive atmosphere. They were always ready to cater to our needs, enhancing the overall dining experience. Kudos to the service team for their prompt and friendly service.
The ambiance and seating arrangements further elevated our time at Grastro Publiko. The setting was pleasing, creating a comfortable environment for an enjoyable meal. However, it's worth noting that the presence of a warehouse for ukay-ukay in part of their garage, due to the crowd, was a bit of an eyesore.
Despite this, the overall experience was undeniably worth it. The fusion of flavors, coupled with the impeccable service and pleasant ambiance, left a lasting impression. I would wholeheartedly recommend Gastro Publiko to friends and relatives seeking a memorable dining experience. The Peri Peri Inasal Chicken alone is reason enough to make a...
Read moreWent here because it was recommended by two friends na masarap daw ang food. Seeing the photos and all, it seemee like they are right. When we got there, the dining had a a bit of a musty smell... it was probably also coz they couldn't turn on the aircon dahil di daw kaya ng back up generator. There were also ants and some flies in the dining area... But anyway, menu came and the food does look really good.
We ordered squid ink pancit canton, pares, crispy bicol express, and tokwat bagnet...
When the food arrived it looked really good. Great presentation and Kuya Waiter was also great.
Di namin naubos food coz malaki laki ang serving... and honestly a bit greasy for my taste.
And sure enough when i got home, mga 2 hours later, I felt so nauseated and I ended up vomiting everything I ate.
Parang hindi nadigest ng sikmura ko ng maayos. I had cold sweats and vomiting like crazy....
So now when I think of the food, I really feel like it's not for me.
Unfortunately this place didn't work out. I got food poisoning. My husband also ended up having the runs.
We may have been a bad case... not saying this to hate on the place. But just be careful when you dine in. Too bad this was our experience here......
