so far the place is absolutely amazing, they have a good music and a pool table if you like to play billiard and also a smoke area and other place inside i think it is a secret place, the toilet is clean, honestly i cannot judge about random staff but in my own experience when i first come in, someone assist me, and that time there is not much people and i tried using the buzz button to ask for more order, and i also tried to call someone and she definitely see me and pretend that she never heard me, oh it is because i am not foreigner maybe the treatment is a bit different, but i think this is not the first time i experience this, the other time i am here is when i am with my foreign date actually and the service is very poor we asked for a bill and it takes awhile to get it. and i can tell there are a lot of workers but i don't know why the service is not that good, good place but not very welcoming, been there for quite awhile, and just ordered 1 beer but for sure if they approach me i would like to order more, but because of the neglect i wont bother to ask again, at least i got a place to sit and and stay while waiting for my pick up that arrived for...

Cool sporty vI hadn’t been to H&J Sports Bar in over two years, and walking back in felt like coming home. The place still has that same warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it such a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.

The energy here is unbeatable – plenty of TVs showing different games, pool tables buzzing with activity, and walls lined with sports memorabilia that give it that authentic sports bar vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time catching up with friends or just soaking in the atmosphere.

The food is still excellent – I ordered curry with rice and naan, and it was spot on: flavorful, comforting, and generous in portion. Paired with an ice-cold drink, it hit the spot perfectly.

The staff deserve a mention too – friendly, attentive, and always making sure everyone’s having a good time. It’s clear they care about creating a great experience.

Coming back after so long, I realized nothing’s changed in the best way possible – H&J still feels like that reliable hangout you can always count on. If you’re in Manila and love good food, cold drinks, and sports, this is the place to...

Rude servers and kitchen staff

We ordered Buttered Chicken and Mutton Masala. More than 30 minutes since placing our order, I followed up on it from the lady on the photo. She told the kitchen staff and I heard the kitchen staff, “sabihin mo sa kanya maghintay siya.” Ate on the photo didn’t update me so I asked again and said, “ate ano raw? Maghintay daw ako?” She said, “hindi, ako raw po.” So I let it go, but when a male staff (the guy who offers sheesha) approached her, she told him what happened that the kitchen staff did indeed say that I should wait.

Been visiting this place for years, but the servers are getting ruder and ruder so I decreased my visits and only come here to watch football now.

I also experienced before where the server helped my group and I find a table and she was expecting me to give a tip. I said thank you and she responded, “yun lang?” 😂 That would be totally fine with me, but girl,...

I visited this place after hearing a lot of reviews from friends, and it definitely did not disappoint. It’s an amazing sports bar within walking distance from my place, located in the heart of Makati. The ambiance is fantastic, offering both indoor and outdoor seating, with live sports ranging from football to footy to cricket. They also have pool tables inside. The menu offers a wide variety of starters and food options, from continental and Western dishes to authentic Indian cuisine. The staff is courteous and welcoming, just as you’d expect from a good establishment. I took advantage of happy hour and ordered a San Miguel beer for just 90 pesos. For starters and the main course, I went with Butter Chicken, Chicken n Paneer Pakora and Naan, and everything was superb! If you’re staying in or around Makati, this place is 100% worth a visit, and could easily become a regular spot.

I’ve been here a bunch for gigs but only recently sat down for a meal for a UFC showing. A decent dive. Food was pretty good but quite expensive. It’s like you’re paying expat hotel prices for less ambiance. Which kinda removes the dive charm. Also, they’re one of “those places” that have no service water, hold your water flasks at the door then make you pay for overpriced bottled water even when they clearly have mineral water available. Would probably go again for a very solid English breakfast but not my first choice. I really want to try their Indian food next time!
