BOCA — Restaurant in Mandaue

this place is awful been here on 3 occasions

the first was voluntary and we had to wait 2 hours for our food to be served. there were only 2 other tables at the time. not even they had their food served. one mom was so mad she had to scold the staff and they made the most ridiculous excuse that they cannot control how long the food is going to be cooked when it's a pasta how does it take 2 hours+ to boil a pasta.

the second time was a birthday of friend and the restaurant was already closed when only 2 orders were served. they told us they could serve it for take out but that we'd have to wait and then it never happened so we just wasted our time.

now again our business partner wanted to come here despite me strongly against it and we were so disappointed and infuriated that the waitress was just standing there looking at us not questioning why our table has been empty with no food served for 1 hour.

the food is not very good. it can be very dry for the main courses. the pizza is nothing special even. there are other brick oven restaurants that have more cheesy or saucy pizza. the pasta is ok but you can get pasta anywhere else and it would be better, fresher, and bigger serving than this place.

the place is clean, a bit dark unless you're in the private rooms

in short do not come here this is not an exaggeration you can look at other websites for reviews maybe reddit users there experience...

we booked 2 weeks earlier for a birthday dinner. everything was confirmed yet at the night of the birthday dinner they messaged us saying that everything on the menu we asked was not available. very disappointing experience, they only informed us 15 minutes before the schedule so we had to pick another set of food to eat that night and waited an hour for it to be served. mind you they will asked for a downpayment yet they could not prepare the food properly. the staff's aren't accommodating as well, they even scolded one of us for not pressing the button if we need assistance. we have to keep on calling them down stairs cause no one was responding to us. in our defense that button was not working at all. the staffs likes to blame their guests if the guests aren't satisfied with the service. the atmosphere is not welcoming although it was such a great idea to have an exclusive room. over all will never come back here and i really wont recommend...

I was really curious about this place and now I got to finally visit. Theyre ok on walk ins but highly recommend to book a reservation. I booked it via text and they reply really fast which enticed me more to check this place out. Overall my experience was great. No complaints on food, drinks, dessert and coffee. Probably ask the customer when to serve steak after the salad. I eat slow to enjoy my food but since the steak was served mins after my salad I felt i needed to rush my salad then eat my steak. That's just me but doesnt hurt to ask. When I ordered my dessert and coffee I gave instructions to not serve both so I can eat slowly and relax. Place looks chill and relaxed. I was the only one in the room. Not sure yet how'd it feel like if filled with people. Also fix your cc terminal asap so I can use my cc instead of cash haha I usually bring cc instead of cash. I highly recommend....
