The Dessert Factory - Parkmall — Restaurant in Mandaue

My family and I have been an avid customer of Dessert Factory since the late 2000’s. Not to mention, few of our favorites (a staple dessert in every occasion) are their cheesecake & red velvet; Pad Thai, seafood wrap and grilled chops for their meals.

My family decided that we would meet up in this branch. We ordered Dessert Factory salad, taco salad, kinamatisang kawali, Bicol express, Binagoongang fried rice, spaghetti carbonara, soup of the day - mushroom soup, clubhouse sandwich, 2 extra eggs, blueberry cheesecake, cucumber lemonade, a can of coke and strawberry yogurt shake.

Unfortunately, the rice meals were very frustrating! There’s a big difference on how their rice meals tastes and was presented compared to before.

The mushroom soup tasted & looks like it was freezed and was just thawed in microwave when we ordered. Tsk. The croutons were at the bottom instead of being topped, thus, it was soggy. The Bicol express didn’t taste Bicol express at all! It was just tiny cuts of meat with undercooked coconut cream, no flavor at all. The Kinamatisang kawali was just fried kawali then stir fried with tomatoes. It taste way too different than how it was before. This was supposedly my aunt’s favorite, now one of the worst rice meals she ever had. The Binagoongang pork was the worst! It was just very tiny bits of pork topped on the fried rice. I was in shocked when we received our order earlier! I loved how you prepared this before!

By the way, the cheesecake is still the best in Cebu! ✨

You also need to call the attention of the waitress 2-3x before coming near you. So at times, we had to stand up & approach the cashier area so that our request would be facilitated.

One of my favorite Dessert Shop since 2015!! I remembered I always visit Dessert Factory after my working hours.

Their dessert is a must try and you won't regret and worth the price. It will really take all your stresses away 😂

During this pandemic, the shop observe Health Protocols and social distancing at all times. I love the idea providing qr code to access the list of menu. They also posted the list of menu in tarpaulin inside the shop.

Their breakfast menu is a must try, it's delicious.

A budget-friendly diner that you can bring anyone in the family and they can select whatever their favorite meal is. Ranging from seafood, pork, chicken, burgers ofcourse they offer delectable desserts as well. I had grilled porkchops and I was served 3 porkchop slices with such flavor! I'm used to eating bland food whenever I eat outside but this was an exemption. I finally have a go-to restaurant whenever I feel like I don't know...
