I booked on the day a Standard Single Room but got the Twin Room. It may be hard to find, but you can say near Jehovas Witness in F Cabahug - Mandaue. Since it’s near a church, expect prayers during midnight, morning, and afternoon - they are on speaker.

It’s affordable compared to other hotels in the area. One ride to Pacific Mall, where the Department of Foreign Affairs is located. You’ll need to walk for a few minutes to get on the highway, I usually rode a taxi and a motorcycle taxi.

The place and my room are quite old, and the bathroom is also old and a little bit smelly and dirty. It has a small TV, but it’s still quite cozy and does not feel creepy or scary. Water is available for PHP 1 per bottle. Towels are also provided. There is an affordable eatery opposite the pension house. Water is available for PHP 1 per bottle. Wi-Fi is unbelievably fast.

I give my ratings on based on value. From top down, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Hence ☆☆☆☆☆ The rooms are OK, but I feel the owners need to attend to maintenance issues such as the plumbing. Water does not flow adequately from all outlets. They are choked with lime. That said, the environment within the property is pleasant and includes a sheltered, outdoor kitchen with gass cookers and electricity supply. I heartily recommend Maanyag Pension House if you don't need top class luxury. It is good value. I have booked many times through the OYO app, and if returning to Cebu, I will certainly check for availability here first. Shopping malls are a 20 minute walk in one direction to Parkmall and 15 minutes to J-Centre Mall in the other.
