The Aristocrat Restaurant - SM Manila — Restaurant in Manila

I would have reviewed this Supposed classic restaurant of my childhood Zero stars. Well, those fond memories are gone. Went there on valentines day, cos we thought it’s gonna be great like back in our childhood. It was a huge disappointment, coz the place is cramped, too many seats like sardines with absolutely no space for social distancing, the queue was long and it doesn’t matter if you are first or last, as the bigger groups take priority. Too bad for you if they don’t have a table for 2 coz you will have to wait longer outside, with no seats. Then finally after a long wait, we got in at 8 PM, they are closing at 9 pm, they finally delivered our order at 8:20 PM eventhough we already pre ordered while waiting on the queue. Then the manager started collecting our payment during our meal, terribly rude! With a side comment of, you may take your time eating as long as you finish before 9 PM as we will be closed by then!! The crispy pata was fried in stale cooking oil, so i didn’t enjoy it, the chopsuey was full of carrots, and overcooked vegetables, not at all the chopsuey this restaurant had of old. All in all and compared to other restaurants Aristocrat is a let down and the owners should re evaluate their staff and how they handle the clientele, as well as spacing of tables, and chairs, prioritizing of seats, food quality, especially the taste, the way it was cooked, and presented. All in all, Aristocrat needs to go back to it’s former glory. It needs to, as it is seriously lagging behind these other, newer, better restaurants. Aristocrat, based on the SM branch we went to, have become overly commercialized and the staff are just after the customers’ money, without delivering on quality that Aristocrat restaurants were known for in the past. I dine here yesterday with my family, it was my first time and will be the last. my father use to tell me stories about this restaurant that they had great food and service but things change. FOOD - The food was just average and i notice they put MSG on the food as my body reacts like the dry lips, thirst feeling and dizziness, if you're health conscious this is not the place to be, there are other restaurant that are far better, i think this is because of their brand name but poor quality. SERVICE - We haven't started eating the cashier ask us to pay immediately, and halfway eating about 5mins they immediately serve the halo-halo, they expect us to eat that fast. the food arrived in 20mis but i don't like the idea they serve all at once including the dessert and chase you to pay your bills...
