I went here because of Jessica Lee's Recommendation.
Food: Bibimbap was like expectation vs reality, actually it is more than what we expect and it can be shared by two or three people. Kimchijigae: I was still recovering from fever, and while eating this kimchijigae, it gives boost and flows energy throughout my body, subtle spice, the sourness is right on the spot, the pork was fatty but not that oily, the freshness of Korean Tofu was there. I would still come back to this place just to have another bowl. Single serving can be shared by two or three person. Steamed Mandu: Soft, Moist, Big and full of stuffs enough to make you full by having 1-3 pcs. Can be shared by 4-5 persons.
Side Dish: I wasn't able to taste all the side dishes but I would say it is okay, some other korean places serve more flavorful side dishes, I liked all the side dishes specially the Kimchi. Service: All the servers were attentive and gave us all the things we needed to enjoy our meal!
Atmosphere. We dined inside the airconditioned room, each table may accommodate 4 people atleast. It is enough for us to move around, the restroom is...
Read moreFirst time visited this place on a Saturday, around 11:30AM. There's not much people at that moment. The servers were fast and attentive. The food, although I only had kimchi jjigae (my staple Korean go-to) and bulgogi kimbap, I can tell they're the best I have tasted in a while. Their kimchi jjigae is a good mix of hot and sour, with a subtle kick of spiciness. Their kimbap is a perfect mix of vegetables, rice, egg, and delicious but not overpowering bulgogi. Their side dishes are of enough serving, and are equally good tasting. I also had watermelon shake, which was sweet and refreshing. After the meal, they served complimentary rice juice.
I may not be an expert, but I can tell that they are serving authentic Korean cuisine as there were a lot of Korean patrons coming in as lunchtime approached. I definitely would go back to try more from their menu.
Things to note -- I don't think they serve house water, as they provided me a 500ml bottled water. They didn't charge for it, so I assumed it's part of the meal price(?). In addition, they only accept...
Read moreDined here twice. Excellent choice for people who prefer quality vs. the usual mediocre eat-all-you-can meat fests.
Pros: Al fresco dining. Best selection of ban chan (side dishes) we've had locally; they also change it up quite often, and all of it have been good or at least executed with effort. Rice and bottled water are included, unlike other Korean joints which usually offer these as a separate order. The waitstaff try their best even if they are sometimes understaffed, so please tip generously if you can.
Cons: Soup gets cold easily because of the aluminum container used. Grill is charcoal powered, but the cooking surface does not have holes for the meat fat to drip down and vaporize which adds the much coveted "grilled flavor" to meats; to be fair though, this feature is somewhat rare— only one KBBQ nearby in Macapagal Blvd who has this.
Tips: If going for Korean BBQ, the galbi sal is a solid choice. Their LA galbi is sliced a little too thin...
