This was the first place we went to after we settled in our hotel from our 46 hr trip. Me, my husband and my son came here at last midnight for some good food. My husband had been here with his buddies from his past trip and he wants me and our son to try it. But he knows this place simply as ERRAS in adriatico street. But when I google the place to write a review, it is called Vest Ramen in Google. I ordered the Bangsilog which is half slice of cinch fried milkfish, Filipinos call Bangus, a cup of garlic rice and fried egg over medium. I also ordered Tokwaât Baboy, which is fried tofu with fried pork drench in a sauce made from dark soy sauce, lemon juice, onions and other spices. Both my son and my hubby ordered Ramen. They both said that the ramen was really good. As for me, I was very happy with how my Bangsilog turned out. We paid about 916 pesos for all the food we ordered. Butbut the food is good. Would I come back? Yes. Just not during the day when it might be hot or crowded. But it is a must try. The place is not fancy. It is more ghetto-like; cleanliness may be an issue if you are sensitive and queasy about things as this place is really not restaurant like as far as aesthetics go, but I am sure that itâs clean because we didnât get sick or had the runs after eating at this place which is a good sign of cleanliness for me LOL. I still would drink the tap water though. We all ordered bottled sodas and...
Read moreLast night I was able to try and dine in at the place touted as having the best ramen in the city!
The setting of the place itself may give Quentin Tarantino an idea for his next and final opus! It was like eating in somebody elseâs dream! There was noise (cuss words flying from every corner of the humid place, music blasting from a bad sound system) and there was a small crowd gathered drinking, smoking or eating. And there were people still waiting to be accommodated. If you are the type who values your safety (especially at night ) and you are easily scared of seedy places then you may want to just do take outs.
Of course you wouldnât expect the best and professional service however you will still be attended to.
Now letâs talk about the famous ramen. If you were the type who has not tasted good ramen then probably you would give the highest score to this place.
While if you are the type who is already jaded in eating ramen you may say that this place tried its best and it could pass if ever you get hit with ramen craving during the wee hours of midnight till early morning (the place is open 24 hoursâŠquarantine rules be damned!)
The price is very very affordable at â±120 per bowl of ramen (choice of tantan or shoyu). You may still afford to add an order of gyoza at â±80 (but you may want to reconsider in ordering this!âŠsomething creeps me out in their...
Read moreErras Vest (best?) is a simple place. They stack green plastic chairs and tables and unstack them as the place fills up. It is a covered venue (roof) but it is exposed and you can easily see outside what's going on on the street. Sometimes kids come in and beg and sometimes people try to sell you shoes and sunglasses or other stuff so that can be annoying. I like the food and the service is good. The beer prices are super cheap and it's like happy hour all the time. Last time I was there it was mid afternoon and the place was super dead. Only three people were there. Just the tip but check the prices carefully. Sometimes ordering single beers are cheaper than ordering a bucket đȘŁ. As you can see in the pictures, it is not fancy there. As I said before, the front is exposed to the elements like the wind and rain so it is not a super clean place. The food, beverages and service are really good đ so it's a must visit on my list. I'll be back once in awhile to...
