I don't usually do Google place reviews but when the manager asked if we can review the place and sharebour experience, I told myself, Why Not?
We visited today, Sept 28, 2025 and I seriously don't get why this store only has 3.9☆ as of this writing.
This store has been by far the best samgyupsal place we've been in in terms of ambience and attentiveness of staff.
QR code worked great- we had no problems. They open at 12nn, We were early so we waited at the 7eleven store nearby.
When we want back to the store, there werrle already 2 small groups ahead of us and there were other bigger groups queueing after us and yet still they allowed us to sit on the couch even if it was just the two of us when we asked if we can sit on the couch.
The place's ambience is bright and lively. It looks really clean and a place where you'd want to eat, and actually enjoy the food. All the side dishes we love were available, and even the meat we love are also available. Although there were two kinds of meat that was not available during our visit, it was okay for us. Maybe if you are visiting for a particular side dish or meat-- you can ask the store managarr or staff if they are available so you will not get disapppinted. But for us the potato marbles, and the gochujang beef alone makes the visit very much worth it.
The place has no foul smell, food tastes great, pretty much what you'd expect of an unli samgyup place but this is perhaps the best samgyupsalamat place we've ever been in... and better than our other go to places for samgyupsal. It was our first time to visit this particular store-- and it definitely wont be the last. We didn't regret having to walk from Robinsons Place Manila just to go to this place.
We also had Zero problem with charcoal. No problem with faulty smoke whatever. We smelled great even after we went out the place. Unlike when we go to other samgyupsal place where our clothes smell like we were also burnt. Waiting time after ordering via QR was also short and unnoticeable when you are having a great time.
I was not able to get their names (because we were too busy with eating and chitchatting) but The manager and his staff were all very polite and proactive in making sure they give a very satisfactory experience to their guests. They even suggest refilling the cheese and iced tea whenever they pass our table and notice that we ran out of cheese. They also actively clean up and are very polite in asking uf they can already get the empty plates and bowls. We really fo CLAYGO everywhere we go. But this place, and its staff deserve it. We are very happy to CLAYGO to help maintain the cleanliness and the overall ambience of the place.
Thank you very much for the wonderful experience we had at...
Read moreFor this particular branch—my fifth visit—the experience was disappointing. Many meat options, including moksal and chicken popcorn, were out of stock. The gyeranjjim (steamed egg) was bland and lacked the creamy texture it used to have. Even my favorite side dish, the pa muchim (green onion salad), tasted completely different from how I remember it. Even the selection noticeably have become mediocre. It’s sad to see this happening at what’s supposed to be their flagship store.
On the bright side, I appreciate the effort to modernize with a digital ordering system, but it still needs improvement—some of my orders never arrived. The only saving grace was the staff, who remained polite and accommodating despite the situation.
Samgyupsalamat has long been one of the most beloved unlimited K-BBQ brands in the Philippines. I’ve been a fan since their early days near Vito Cruz, and I truly enjoyed my first few visits back then. Unfortunately, as the chain expanded, the food quality has noticeably declined.
With so many new and competitive unlimited K-BBQ places nearby, I hope Samgyupsalamat seriously takes note and brings back the quality that once made it a crowd favorite. For now, though, it’s a hard...
Read moreHello, I wanted to share some feedback about are recent visit to your restaurant. Samgyupsalamat’s branch of located at 566 Julio Nakpil Street, Malate, Manila. We asked to replace the pan because the fire was too strong. The staff member wearing black removed it, although I’m not sure if he is the manager It took a bit longer for a replacement, but eventually, what we did is we asked for a new one. The response we got was, ‘magluluto paba kayo? I’ve noticed that the pan they given was dirty, so we asked for a new one for the second time. There’s no problem if takes a long time to change the fan, but the third one is still dirty. So We decided to cancel the next order and complained about why all the pan being given is too dirty The manager’s response was, “hindi lang naman kayo yung nag complained about that' so what the!!!”, which implies that no action is being taken that was so disappointing. improving the the cleanliness provided for the customer. could enhance the overall customer satisfaction.
