A hidden gem in the city. The ambiance of the place gives off a K-drama rooftop vibes. It is not just a cafe, it also has a bar. They also serve dishes, pizza, pasta, and ofc alcoholic drinks. Their menu is very expensive. We bought a Sinigang na Baboy good for 3-4 people (excluding rice) for P700 because we haven't had our dinner yet. I thought this was too expensive for a simple Filipino dish. The prices of their drinks range from P180 to P250 while the prices of their pizzas and pastas range from P450 to P700. So yes, they're kinda expensive (for a student like me). However, they don't have service charge and their waiters are all very nice. They attended us well but they seem to lapse in some ways - we had to call them multiple times to request for something. Luckily for them, most of them are good-looking (all male). Despite all this, we got our money's worth, since we CAN STAY THERE FOR AS LONG AS WE WANT since the place is open for 24 hours. We stayed there for about 6 hours (9PM-3AM). Another I'd like to commend is that the place is spacious and has variety of seats. It's also nice that we went there in such a nice weather, not too hot and not too cold either. Expect a little breeze since it's a rooftop. Generally, the place is meant for those who wants to have drinks with their friends and just chill. You can also study there, like what we did which end up in chika. There is also a photobooth inside which is also quite nice to try.

TL;DR - If you're willing to spend big money, looking for a place to chill with drinks and variety of foods, and kind of in need to be far from the noise of the city but is still accessible in the city, then this...

Nice place and ambience but very bad experience. Terrible service. Need to ask 7 times for a simple request of water when they are giving others, specially to those who just came in. One waiter even said that they don’t have anymore bottle for service water but we can see that they are giving other tables and putting bottles in the fridge. I also feel like they prioritised foreigner, they even asked us to settle our bills early even if we are not yet done with our meals, reason is that they are changing the cashier, (sort of that, cannot remember the exact reason) but they didn’t ask other tables to settle their bills as I observed. Maybe I ordered too much food that they are afraid that I might not be able to pay it.

Anyway food are also not so great. Beef salpicao is so-so, pizza tastes like very usual like the ones you buy on the streets, also quite pricey if I may say. Other than that the rest are just okay. Nothing special. Just to give a little more details, I paid a total of Php8,000. It’s not about how much I paid at the end of the day but the standard of service, attentiveness to non-payable requests regardless of how much a customer’s total bill is and overall service experience.

I recommend to go to other places to spend your money and time with friends.

P.S. The bartender and supervisor apologized but I felt it was too late coz our concerns were not addressed by the waiters which resulted for us to personally look...

First, there was a misunderstanding with other guest regarding the table that we like to go with. We told the waiter that we will wait for it to be vacant so we would like to order on the specific spot where I think the upper patio, we moved in there and trying to look for the food that we would like to order but another guest contest that they are on the queue and they should be the first to accomodate before us, so even tho we are already on the specific table, we need to move to another so the other guest which they insist would like to move there and they are already waiting to be transferred to. I am a type of guest that don't like inconveniences so yes, I still try to understand. However, the part that we would like to sit in, had another vacant so we moved there. Waiter informed us to settle the bill, and then I gave my credit card and our 2 PWD ID card which is real and valid. Last but not the least and I hope it should really be the last, I was informed by the manager that our PWD IDs was not valid because they searched it from their system which I explained that they system is not really updated, I was able to show my PWD booklet and the picture where my name was listed on the barangays PWD but still they did not consider it. It really saddened how it was handled and I dont want any confrontation but hoping that even though rules/ policy should be followed if one can justify a thing, know how it can...

The food was great. I highly recommend their golden pan-seared chicken that melts in your mouth and is super savory. Their drinks are on the sweet side but still good nonetheless. The waiting time before you get to the restaurant depends on whether there are people lining up for the elevator. You won’t have to wait extremely long. However, you will need patience waiting for your food. Not only do they mix up the orders, but they also allow you to order something only for them to come back half an hour later and tell you that what you ordered is not available. Waste of time. This happened to my group quite a lot, and it’s disappointing. The staff were all nice and accommodating, but it was clear they didn’t have much communication with the kitchen. We always sit at the very rooftop of the place, so maybe that’s a factor in why it was always so hard to get the staff’s attention. They don’t have a designated parking space, but the other side of the street allows you to street park for a fee. The place is undoubtedly aesthetic and inviting. There are plenty of spaces for you to sit down. Our experience with this restaurant was not the best, but I know that there is room for improvement, especially with their service. I hope you guys can coordinate more with the kitchen staff and start to do faster and more efficient service for the customers.

It was our first time at Café Roo and overall, it was a nice experience! The place is aesthetically pleasing — great for taking photos. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating, and we also appreciated how clean the bathroom was (plus points for the bidet!). We walked all the way from Dolomite Beach, so when we arrived, we were really hoping to cool down inside. Unfortunately, it was still pretty hot even indoors — it felt more like an electric fan was running rather than aircon, so it didn’t help much with the heat. I even ended up using the menu to fan myself the whole time — para akong iniihaw huhuhu As for the food, my boyfriend found the dark mocha frappe a bit too sweet for his liking, but I absolutely loved the regular mocha frappe — super good! The nachos, while flavorful, felt a bit pricey at P450, especially since the meat was a bit dry. I was also looking forward to the tiramisu, but it came out a bit dry as well with lots of powder on top — na-choke ako ron sa powder huhuhu (I tried lots of tiramisu sa ibang mga cafe but least fave ko ang tiramisu here ☹️) Overall, it’s a nice café to visit for the experience. Still, thank you, Café Roo, for the warm service and nice vibe! Just hoping the aircon can be improved a bit for future guests 🫶
