Fariñas Ilocos Empanada — Restaurant in Marikina

Multiple violations, I'll never go back to any Fariñas na.

I seldom give bad reviews, but this hit a new low! A number of violations, I'm surprised they're still in business?!

On the onset, the place looks okay. I was able to order straight away as I was the only one there that time. I missed empanada e and i seldom eat out.

No receipt provided. ( VIOLATION 1) Fine. As long as my food is okay.

Sought the table with bright light, and the table seemed clean. But after a few minutes before my food was served, I saw small cockroaches crawling on tables. I hope mine has none, so i inched away from the table. (VIOLATION 2) I saw another review here 1 yr ago pa with same comment, and yet they haven't addressed it until now? Paano kayo pumapasa sa sanitation code?

So they don't offer disposable spoon and fork, but you have to get the utensils from a side table (okay good eco friendly) so i took one set wrapped in tissue, okay good. Unwrapping the tissue, oh my, the fork and spoon seemed not thoroughly cleaned. May food smudges pa, and to confirm, I wiped with the tissue those smudges, OMG, di nga nahugasan ng mabuti. (VIOLATION 3) Ew ew ew.

It doesn't stop there, folks. I was about to stand from my table and leave but randomly, a homeless man (which looked desheveled dirty and quite about to make a fit, scaryyy) from outside just came in the resto, went straight to the water dispenser tried to replace the empty water jug with a filled up one and the staff said or did nothing but stared too.

After that man left, and seems no where near the resto na, I left the resto in a hurry.

The food is almost great, almost i love the longganisa and the pakbet however their signature dish empanada doesn't taste fresh just from the smell anyone can tell that the ingredients has been sitting in the fridge for more than a day. Also i found a hair in my food and called them out for it, they did however replaced my order with a new one and i appreciate it but still seeing that small mistake is still worth pointin out. I like crew members they are nice the place is ok. Unfortunately i wont be recommending this place if you are someone looking for...

As an Empanada lover Farinas Ilocos Empanada is good.You'll be amazed how delicious and stuffed each bite. It's like there's so many flavors and happening inside your mouth. You'll get to taste the ever fave Ilocos longganiza with egg and meat...yum! It is also best enjoyed with their own vinegar. I will definitely come back to taste also their bagnet, their meals is very budget...
