Lucciola — Restaurant in Marikina

More than a year later update and changing my rating 😍:

Lucilla is my go-to spot whenever I’m craving a Filipino breakfast. Their food never disappoints! The staff is kind, the service is quick, and everything tastes amazing. My partner went for the English breakfast—a full-on meaty feast, haha! It didn’t come with rice, just a hash brown. I opted for the pork tocino, and it was incredibly juicy, with perfectly cooked eggs on the side. Definitely recommend!

It was the second time we came here, this time for a dinner. The Pizza Bianca (white, cheesy sauce, mushroom, mozarella, bacon and garlic) was our best choice, it was very delicious, thin crust, very tasty, would definitely recommend! Maybe because we had the place to ourselves. Maybe because the servers were polite and attentive. Maybe because the price is reasonable. Or maybe because the restroom was clean.

Okay, I basically listed all the reasons why I'm giving this 5 stars. Add to those that the food was good - not fancy or spectacular but you get your money's worth.

Two mains (pan seared salmon with rice and boneless bangus meal), 2 drinks (latte and lychee/mango smoothie), and a dessert (tres leches) and our bill was less than P1k. True there's some discount, but there are very few places where we get this value at this quality, even with a discount.

We liked everything except the dessert. And only because we find it too sweet for our taste.

ordered their shiitake pizza, white spinach pizza, baked salmon, herb roasted chicken, and lemon garlic pasta. all their food is great, but the service can be improved. to be fair, they were great too in serving us, but we noticed that our server is a little distracted or out of focus, causing one of our earlier orders not to be punched so it wasnt prepared at all until i followed up on it.

the waiting time is a lil long, but worth it for the food. had to take the late food for to go as i was already full on their pizzas while waiting.

it was a good experience that may easily be great if not for the incident. i hope they check in on their staff and decide to not just let any of them serve if...
