Review of Kanto Freestyle

Overall: A great place to grab a cup of hot kapeng barako with friendly service, but be mindful of limited bike parking and watch your step if it just rained.

Positives:

Delicious coffee: The kapeng barako is delicious, served hot and fresh. They even offer separate creamer and sugar for customization.

Outstanding service: The staff is friendly and helpful, even reminding you of forgotten items like a thermoflask.

Alfresco seating: Enjoy your coffee and the outdoors with the alfresco option.

Tapsilog: Your cousins enjoyed the tapsilog, which suggests a wider menu beyond coffee.

Negatives:

Limited bike parking: There's no dedicated bike parking, which can be inconvenient for cyclists.

Restroom location: The restroom's location at the far end can be a bit of a hassle.

Slippery floors: Be careful if you're wearing cycling shoes when the floor has just been mopped.

Overall, this is a great spot for a delicious cup of kapeng barako and friendly service. However, cyclists may want to consider the lack of dedicated bike parking, and be cautious if the...

We dined here at around 12mn-1:30am. Ambiance was great, place was very clean, the staff who took our order was very approachable and answered all our questions about their food. There were also a few people (about 4-6 people) dining in even at that hour so the place was a bit lively! Which was great.

Our only problem was that even with only a few people in, medyo matagal iserve ang orders. Our food came in one by one. We had to wait longer so we could eat them together. And also, the staff forgot our drinks.

They were not short staffed, it’s just that the staff were all at the front and we were seated all the way back so they couldn’t see us that much. And when one staff passed by, he didn’t hear us calling him so we could follow up our drinks. I had to go to the front to have our leftovers taken out, and I reminded them of our pending order. And that’s the only time they made it. But it still took them about 5-10mins to make the drink.

That’s the only thing that made our experience a bit meh. But we would still go back to try their other dishes. Hopefully, the service...

I enjoyed the food, esp the pancakes tbh since they didn't skimp on the chocolate on it. I got the ganache with chocnut. They didn't skimp on the ganache but I barely tasted the chocnut LOL I wanna eat more of their pancakes.

Oh, they have a budget meal but some are expensive (to a piss poor student like me), like I tried the beef silog. It was good, and I love the tomatoes. Maybe I haven't adjusted to inflation yet. Anyway, nabusog naman ako so that's important I guess. I wish the garlic rice or fried rice tasted more like garlic or fried rice. It tasted a little like regular rice. It was fine, just not what I thought it'd taste like haha

Oh, I do like the coffee.

The lighting is so nice, too. The bathroom is weird because sometimes they keep the cleaning bucket there and damn it just smells like piss and chlorine hahaha. At night, the guy at the register is so grumpy.

Parking sucks. You...
