We came here after church. The fam was craving Filipino food for a change.
We ordered their pork sinigang, gising gising, crispy palabok, and squid sisig.
I heard that this place is famous for their crispy palabok and this is my first time trying it. Honestly, it was definitely different. It seemed to be a cross between palabok and lomi. It used eggs so it had a very creamy sauce. It had lots of calamari and shrimp which was very nice. The only thing i didn't like was the noodles. Sorry, the noodles is the supposed to be highlight of the dish with all that presentation but the texture is what I and my wife didn't like. Think of oishi crackers and submerge them in thick sauce. You get soggy noodles without any bounce. Despite the texture, everything else was really nice and had a wonderful taste.
Next was the pork sinigang. The veggies and pork was really good. The meat was soft and fatty. The soup was a bit too salty for my liking but at least you dont have to season it yourself with patis and its a perfect pair with rice.
I wanted to eat gising gising for a long time and this was a treat. Nice, creamy coconut milk sauce. The texture of the vegetables was delightful that had a crunch in every bite. I only wished it was a bit more spicy.
The squid sisig surprised me. If I didn't know it was squid i would have thought it was pork. It was crunchy and had slices of kamias. The kamias was really good. It was very sour but had a hint of sweetness that made it fruity. Again, i only wished the sisig was spicy.
Service was also really good. Wait time wasnt too long despite the place was packed. Extra points for the waiter who took the effort to ask if we liked our food. Place has really good...
Read moreWE recently dined at Manam Restaurant(MOLITO), and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect stage for a memorable meal.
The highlight of the evening, however, was the service provided by JM. From the moment we arrived, JM's professionalism and attentiveness were evident. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they offered thoughtful recommendations that truly enhanced our dining experience. JM's friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm made us feel welcomed and valued throughout our meal.
As for the food, we ordered, pancit sisig, Beef salpicao, crispy pata, and UBE shake; it was absolutely divine. Each dish was a delightful blend of flavors and textures, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality and creativity. The attention to detail was apparent in every bite, and the presentation of each dish was both beautiful and appetizing.
Overall, Manam Restaurant is a gem, and JM's exceptional service made our visit truly special. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in the south, with outstanding service. I look forward to...
Read moreI recently visited Manam(Molito Branch)and was impressed by its bright and beautiful atmosphere, which feels perfect for gatherings. However, our experience was impacted by two nearby tables that seemed to be hosting a loud team-building or office gathering, complete with games. This took away from the relaxed vibe we hoped for, and I wish the management had intervened to maintain the ambiance that this lovely place deserves.
The service was fantastic—special shoutout to JM, who was incredibly patient, courteous, and hardworking throughout our meal.
As for the food, I found it a bit hit-or-miss. I was especially excited to try their best-seller, the sinigang with watermelon, but sadly, it didn’t live up to the hype. The soup wasn’t hot enough, tasted a bit salty, and felt somewhat overrated. On a brighter note, the binagoongan and crispy sisig were absolutely outstanding, and I’d definitely recommend them. The ube/sago shake was also a delicious treat!
Overall, while the setting and some dishes were memorable, there were a few misses that impacted the experience. I’d still recommend it for the ambiance and certain standout items, just be mindful if there’s a noisy...
