We went there at around 7pm and first impression was wow the menu selection is really big and the price is on the high side. Also the food came really quick as if it was fast food. We ordered the following:

BAD PART.

Gyudon - The meat was really DRY. It doesn't taste like its fresh. Also the gyudon doesnt have any egg and when i asked the waitress why there's no egg she replied that its upon request. Which is really weird because i haven't seen a gyudon without an egg.

Spicy tuna maki - This is definitely one of the worst spicy tuna that i have tasted. I only ate a piece because it didn't taste right. I didn't even taste the tuna at my first bite and it tasted like... Kimchi instead of a freakin tuna maki.

Takoyaki - I'm really disappointed with this. Again i only ate one piece because it didn't taste right. I didn't taste the squid. We opened one up and the taste led us to beliwve that the ingredients aren't fresh. They denied this of course.

My mom ordered a tiger prawns with chili sauce and she didn't like it and her comment was "it's edible... But it's not good"

GOOD PART

The good thing about this restaurant is their customer service. The waitresses and manager was really nice and very easy to talk to even if we complained. They apologized for the food and listened to...

The food is good for its price. We had Shoyu Ramen, Salmon Harumaki, Gyu (something) bowl with Miso. They have big portions good for two persons.

Servers, however, require hospitality training. I went inside to ask where we can park, she just said that we can part there (pointing outside) but not in front of the restaurant. I asked her to point to us exactly where we can park and then I went out waiting for her to guide us. She didn’t go out and I had to go inside again to ask her to point where we can park. Note that during that time only one table is occupied inside and they dont have customers. What is going by the door which is just beside the counter where she was just so she could guide us the exact place where she said we can park.

All of them, except for one server, don’t seem to be that engaging. They don’t even smile! Haha. They also didn’t offer us the house tea until we learned that they have one when the other table requested. The lady server with white complexion and a bit tall is a bit dismissive.

The tables are near each other and the space is small. When we arrived, it took them a while to clean the other tables left by customers making the...

I will start with the negative observation and our experience. Service was very slow. We have to call servers and each time we have to ask for water, napkins and additional condiments and every time it took like forever.take . Just imagine the food and it was served really late. Here comes another surprise, in paying the bills it was the worse thing we ever experienced. It took us almost an hour waiting for the bill to come back to the extent that we have to stand up and walk to the cashier. Reading through their reviews in the past, it seems that this was not an isolated case. I don’t want to tell you how to run your business but I thought you need to pay attention to this dilemma. On the positive note, food were good the one we ordered at least. Servers worked under pressures and nice. Cashiers need more training not to...

Food is generously served. Complementary tea with options for hot or cold is served together with sweet and sour lapu-kapu fish head while waiting for the order. We had ramen, tonkatsu, maki, and tempura but for 3 people, it was too much we had to take out our left overs. Crew are very attentive and polite. Service was lovely and felt personalized. Crew smile a lot which makes the experience even more enjoyable. There is a lot of food selection in the menu with all the usual images for reference. Pricing is reasonable and place is very pleasant. Atmosphere feels refreshed and neat. Table is clean and doesn’t feel greasy.

This is a cat-friendly establishment. No, they don't have cats inside. But you'll see cats gather outside the entrance near closing time at night. This means these lucky felines are fed. As a cat owner, I already liked this restaurant since my first visit more than three years ago. And I am very happy to see they survived the lockdowns due to the pandemic. More important, of course, is the good food. How good? Japanese expats patronize this place. They have a very extensive menu; from sushi and sashimi, to donburi, oden, tempura, ramen, soba and udon, to yakitori. This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in SBMA.
