My recent visit to this Japanese restaurant was a pleasant surprise, especially considering it was a holiday evening. Despite the dinner rush, we were seated immediately, which was a huge plus, as the space has plenty of tables to accommodate a high volume of guests.
For our meal, we ordered the katsudon, seafood ramen, and beef gyudon. The prices were quite reasonable, and the serving sizes were generous, making it a very affordable and satisfying meal overall. My companions were very happy with their choices, but I was a little disappointed with the katsudon. I found the sauce to be a bit too sweet for my taste and a little watery, which detracted from the dish.
Another minor issue was the service. It took a while to get the attention of the staff, and I had to ask for our drinks—a soda and a glass of water—three times before they finally arrived. Despite this small hiccup, the overall experience was good. It's a great option if you're looking for an affordable Japanese meal with a good serving size, and you can expect to be seated quickly, even on...

Read moreEating here is always part of the itinerary, with my two boys loving the chicken katsu. They even say that it is BETTER THAN YABU. My wife and I took a bite (since we were still full from the Meatplus lunch earlier) and masarap nga (the sauce was just wow!). The sushi/sashimi is great too (except in this trip of ours they unfortunately ran out of mangoes...but the salmon aburi (ordered 2x!) made up for it 😉).
Service was good too, with one of the waiters asking us how the food was which my 2 boys gave their thumbs up sign of approval.
The place was quite full so just goes to show na people love the food (vs other commercialized Japanese restos).
They have a branch daw in Valero, Makati (called Koku) but eating there might lose the novelty for us since we like going here as part of our...
