Shakey's Pizza Parlor — Restaurant in Pampanga

Ate here last 21 l/02/2025 around 2:00 PM ish.

We had lunch at Shakey’s SM City Pampanga with my family. Upon receiving our drinks (jugs of Coke Zero), we were instead given three bottles of flat Coke Zero, placed directly on the table with no ice jugs and no explanation as to why we were given bottles instead of the jugs we expected. The bottles were at room temperature, so we had to ask the staff for three jugs of ice. When we tasted the Coke Zero, it was flat. I requested a replacement, but the staff insisted that it wasn’t their fault and argued that the Coke Zero was flat. None of us could drink it. I asked for a replacement drink, and they gave us three pitchers of iced tea. When my brother took a sip of the iced tea, he felt something sharp in his mouth. Upon inspecting it, he found a piece of the dish rack — it was rusty and made of very hard plastic with metal parts. We were all concerned and frightened, especially since the kids had also consumed the iced tea. We immediately informed the staff, but all we received was an apology. According to them, it wasn’t their fault. I was furious when they refused to write an incident report, claiming it wasn’t an incident. The employee wearing the “Quality Check Officer” tag argued that there was no need for one. I was particularly upset because the sharp, rusty piece could have easily been swallowed by one of the kids if my brother didn’t felt something sharp inside his mouth. In the end, we left feeling upset, scared, and traumatized by the incident. The only compensation offered was a free pizza worth PHP 430, which was deducted from our bill. No amount of compensation can make up for the fact that we were all at risk of ingesting something hazardous. To make matters worse, we were directed to this email to lodge a complaint, which I find to be poor customer service from Shakey’s SM City Pampanga. Also, the staff’s were just on their phone laughing walking around while chitchatting.

This is a very poor and serious issue for the Shakey’s SM City Pampanga’s team that they handled so poorly.

Looking forward hearing back from Shakey’s upper Team aside from the Manager offering to apologise in person. I will direct this to the authorities as this is very unacceptable incident we all had consumed the iced tea drink with rusty bits including the children...

Store is clean, staff were kind, but the food was just bland. It was not hot, but just below warm. Potatoes , bread , pizza and spaghetti were not even warm and just BLA. I love Shakeys, but this was just not good food in this place. I noticed that it’s empty conspired to the other restaurants here, I wonder if it’s because of the food…. No idea who the manager is, but he needs to correct the food issue… Won’t be returning...

We've been to Shakeys Tagaytay, Surigao, and multiple Shakey locations throughout Manila. This Shakeys was hands down the best even when they were busy. Our drinks were refilled without having to ask, the gravy was replaced once we ran out, and I could always see the waitress looking around to see if anyone needled anything. Very impressive team!
