Mangaon Ta Restaurant — Restaurant in Panglao

Had 3 buffet breakfast here during our 3 night stay at Modala Beach Resort. The whole restaurant was spacious with big couches for big groups, or tables for small groups. There's even an option to sit outside al fresco style eating while watching the beautiful Doljo beach.

Around 6-7 viand options, salad and fresh fruit corner, egg corner with choices of sunny side up, boiled, scrambled and omelet that can be cooked to your liking, cereals, yogur, cheese and cold cuts, pastry and dessert corner, Mami soup corner, coffee, choco, juices and various local delicacies outside. Staff are helpful and accommodating. They around change 2 to 3 viands every day.

We ordered lunch once, pizza and liempo, and they were served at beach front. My son loved the KitKat...

Awful experience. First time we tried to get lunch here they took our order but came back to tell us that we had to wait half an hour for the next shift to start and, 2 out of 3 things we ordered were not available. Second time I ordered the Asian grilled shrimp salad which turned out to be a bowl of lettuce with 4 shrimp… And my husband club sandwich was pure mayonnaise and had a hair on it! They offer some fruit for an apology (left overs from breakfast fruit) and they charged us full price for the meal!!

It’s worth to mention that the waiters were very polite and they tried their best to make it up to us. Unfortunately, the kitchen and management had no intention to right...

Five star attempt… But they failed, in my opinion. Atmosphere is noisy acoustically and then amplified by music that is too loud and not soothing. Menu is only available after 2:30 so we opted for the buffet. The food looks better than it tastes. As we were finishing our meal at 2:30 and they were closing the buffet, they also turned off the AC! I think they wanted us...
