It was nice since it's Max's and we already know what we like. The chicken is ever crispy, the pansit and fish fillet are good. My favorite is the tofu sisig and my niece's is the sinigang. This is our go to place if we want the classics. They also sell pastries like cakes and cookies like the rebel bar which is my nephew's favorite. The chocolate cake that we got for my nephew is good. But what really bothers me is their air-conditioning. I don't know if they are saving current since after we ate we felt the heat and even get perspire because of it. I have to leave the restaurant because it is much colder outside. Please do something about this since this is not the first time that I noticed this. But over all it is still good to eat there.

Through the years, from when I was a kid in the 1970’s until now, Max’s remains to be a local favorite Pinoy restaurant. It has never lost its appeal to all the Filipino classes, mostly catering to families. There were few changes aesthetically and management style wise, but the core of it, which is its fried chicken and pinoy native dishes, have stayed as beloved as they are delicious. This Sucat branch is as authentic as its OG predecessor in Manila. Highly recommended! And best enjoyed by families or groups.

Super Platter for the win! When you happen to be in for something filipino kinda lunch or dinner with a little bit on a fancy side, its gotta be max's restaurant. Their food here is delicious a common typical filipino cuisine nothing more but not that affordable for some. If you know what i mean. Makakakain ka neto sa mga carinderia o eatery. But nothing beats the best parin! Max's Fried Chicken!!!!

Love the variety of food being offered. Taste is typical of most Taiwan style food and that is excellent for my Asian taste. Choices will include duck meat, which seems to be their specialty. Other meat types like pork or chicken are also available if these are your preferences. A small meal will set you back somewhere between NT$80 - NT$150.

Eateries like this is what makes Taiwan so convenient, especially for those who can't or prefers not to cook. The entire street is littered with these mom and pop restos that provides an empty tummy instant gratification; and they're mostly great.

The ONLY thing I am wary of is when a cook starts throwing in black vinegar, pepper, or soy sauce into your bowl before serving it. IMHO, that's a clear sign that the cook is not confident about the taste of the food he/she is serving. Condiments are there to add to one's specific taste and should not interfere with the original...
