Crystal Dragon - City of Dreams Manila — Restaurant in Parañaque

This intimate restaurant remains one of the finest upscale Chinese dining experiences — not just in town, but perhaps in the entire Philippines. I may sound exaggerated, but I truly love it that much. The service is impeccable, the attention to detail is remarkable, and the quality of ingredients perfectly matches the premium pricing.

There’s always a warm touch here — from the complimentary appetizers and desserts that set the tone for the meal, to the beautifully plated dishes that never fail to impress. Some of my all-time favorites are the Seafood XO Fried Rice bursting with wok aroma, the Angus Beef Hofan with its tender, savory slices of beef, the Shrimp Ball that’s cheeeesy and perfectly crisp, and the Homemade Tofu with Fish Fillet, silky and comforting with every bite.

It was my first time to dine at this restaurant, and it was not your typical Chinese restaurant.

The ambiance was serene, intimate and private. It has modern and elegant Asian interiors. I liked the vases that were displayed at the entrance passage way, and the noise from the outside dissipates once you are inside the place.

Food-wise, each dish served was packed and bursting with flavors in just one bite. It was great that they have free flow hot tea to partner with the dim sum. The portions were good for two persons. I loved their Xiao Long Bao, Hot and Sour Soup, and Steamed Four Season Dumplings. The deserts were good too -- the Ching Po Leung was refreshing.

The service was great -- superb attentiveness from the staff.

I came here for the first time with my wife yesterday to celebrate our anniversary date. There is plenty of choice for food and every dish looks 5-star, tastes amazing and presented exceptionally professional by the waiters. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing for those who prefer to dine in peace. Definitely the highest tier of service, food and decor! I noticed the waiter didn't write down our big order..he just remembers everything which is a very hard talent to master and certainly a nice touch to the experience of dining here.
